We do apologize for the connectivity issues. Unfortunately we experienced a technical issue with a domain transfer. Sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

You can use poloniex.org as a back up website.

Can get it on a proxy. Here we have an explanation for why there is a problem:

How does using a proxy manage to fix a technical issue with a domain transfer? I don't doubt that it works, I just don't understand how it manages to fix it.

They changed their domain DNS servers and this can take up to 48 hours to propagate across the Internet. I run my own DNS and had to clear the DNS cache and then it worked. Just give it some time. This morning one hotspot in town resolved it correctly another did not.

Edit: This should not happen with a domain transfer unless one makes the mistake of using the same company to host the DNS and register the domain.

I rose this thread from the dead to ask if anybody knew of a list of countries serviced by Poloniex. I know in their registration form there's a long-ass list of countries and I read somewhere they allow users from 100 different countries.

Are there still places they don't allow users (besides New York and the middle east)?

I have been long time not using poloniex so i dont exactly know what is happening.
But as i know poloniex is very good exchange so i think this problem because of technical problem.

In my country, most exchanges are inaccessible, so I need to use a VPN.
However, the small transactions of Poloniex do not need to provide KYC verification, so I have been trading on this platform all the time.

What country is this?

I'm going to guess China. When I was there a lot of sites having to do with bitcoin and cryptocurrency were blocked, along with everything related to Google and Facebook.

If its not China, can you at least give me a general region?

And BTW, if you try to sign up for Polo now, you need to give them a LOT of personal information before they'll even give you a deposit address.

Its interesting to me that there are so many Indonesians are into cryptocurrency. But then again there are a lot of Indonesians.

And you have to remember this thread is almost 4 years old. Sometimes I prefer to add to an old thread than start a new one.

Agree, I am also from indonesia, and I did not find any problems to login. Probably for some countries, Poloniex has rejected it, overall if using vpn, you can access it without any problems

There are still a few countries that prohibit the use of Bitcoins such as drugs and alcohol. Including: Bangladesh, Bolivia, Ecuador, Kyrgyzstan. And some other countries hesitate. But bitcoin fever is very popular and powerful around the world. It has tremendous power to boost the economy in general and in every way. As Bitcoin grows, other development areas are emerging, so people will have new ideas to catch up.

If you travel to "blacklisted" countries like Iran and you try to access your Poloniex account from there, your account gets frozen and there is no way to unfreeze it until you are back in your country and you do a sort of KYC with them, and then wait in the very long support queue.

Is this country on the black list Poloniex? And I sigonya read the news that this exchange was bought back and promised to improve the work and can be added more tokens for trade that can at least somehow pull it out of that swamp where it is now - the news around it is always only bad ...

That's interesting. If ever I found myself in such a country I would mosdef login using Tor, if I had to.

Does anyone access Poloniex from China?
