Title: Firearm purchase - report Central Texas Gun Works
Post by: RodeoX on July 31, 2014, 03:30:17 PM
Although I have bought bulk ammo, it was not until last week that I purchased a firearm for bitcoin. I had a great customer experience and the guys at  http://centraltexasgunworks.com/ were very helpful and professional. I can highly recommend them as trusted source that can get most any weapon you want.

Here is how it went down. I browsed around their site and found that they had the gun I wanted in stock, and it was a decent price. I was unable to buy it via their website and you must call them at the moment for a bitcoin purchase. The process was simple and straight forward. I placed the order to be sent to my local FFL (It can not be shipped directly of course). They sent me an address and a total. The transaction was over and done quickly.

All the legal stuff is still required, so I had another background check and had to wait during my "cooling off period".  ::) This actually made me madder, lol. It arrived in about 5 days and I could not be happier. Here is the Kahr P380 I got. It's like a baby brother to my Kahr K9 Elite.

My FFL was so interested in what had happened that he asked me about accepting bitcoins at his store. Like Central Texas Gun Works, having a physical store is a big asset. I can assume that they will not be scammers and will be knowledgeable.

Once it is loaded with Lehigh XP Xtreme Penetrator,This will be my summer carry "special carry weapon".

How's the P380 -- reasonably accurate?

How's the P380 -- reasonably accurate?

I have only put 50Rnds. through it so far but it is very accurate for a micro pistol. I was getting about a 2 MOA at 50 ft. So I could hit a cantaloupe at that distance. It has a Walther match barrel, which is one of the main differences between it and the CW380.
I was not sure I would like the laser sight, but I do. I have it zeroed for about 30ft. I also had two failure to feed issues in the first 25 shots. That does not worry me. It has a 200 round Break-in period and the springs seem really stiff yet.

Oh, and thanks at ruggedman_dan
