Many of these words are necessary for discussing bitcoin.

Especially to all the poor souls who got goxxed.

I will however concede that FUD is overused. Not everything is a case of simple FUD and we shouldn't discount everything as such.

bitcoin is correct, depending where it is used, and ok in informal discussion even if misused. And bitcoins is the plural of bitcoin. You refer t certain ammount of coins as bitcoin/s, for example, I bought this stuff for 2 bitcoins / 0.3 bitcoin.

Also btc is very used, along with mBTC

HODL

eCurrency

So we can all agree that we really need to think out of the box to come up with some new terminology, some good jargon. Let's start with the low hanging fruit and then socialize the favorites at a high-level. Because at the end of the day, language is everything, we don't want people to pump and dump this thing, we want people to embrace it in a symbiotic relationship. Ya dig? Ibid.

Also Illuminati.

The ubiquity of these is why I don't refer my friends to this forum to learn about Bitcoin.

I haven't seen any online communities where the illuminati conspiracy didn't turn up frequently.
I think the word "illuminati" only represents the skewed wealth distribution of our world, as in the 0.1% owns the majority of wealth and ultimately owns everything.

The "coming economic collapse" is not a myth though it's clearly in progress.

Bitcoin.

On a serious note though, there are always going to be a set of buzzwords/keywords that are consistently used when people choose to talk about anything - literally everything has it's own niche set of words associated with it.

How do you overuse a noun / name like bitcoin or satoshi?  I mean, if you're referring to them, you gotta call them by the name.  Now if you're talking about most commonly used words...

It's taken me months to stop trying to pronounce that like "probably." It's right next to the "b" button - used to assume it was a typo. :D

The most overused word in "BITCOIN" history........

INFANCY

If something goes wrong with the coin or its chain, it is because in its infancy.
If things are going well its ok but the coin is still in its infancy.
If its value increases, it is doing very well but work still needs done because the coin is still in its infancy.
If it bottoms out, dont worry this coin is still in its infancy.

I think even after all 21 million coins are mined this coin is still going to be in its infancy HAHAHA

I've noticed, at least on 90% of all threads I've been on, that bitcoiners tend to overuse a lot of buzzwords. Altcoiners Especially tend to use Innovation/Innovative for some reason as well  ::). The most used words and phrases I've seen are:

1) Innovative

2) Decentralized

3) Centralized

4) Innovation

5) To the Moon

6) Scam

7) FUD

8.) HODL

9) Satoshi

10) ASIC

11) Revolutionary

12) Blockchain

13) Skyrocket

14) Troll

15) Fiat

16) Pump and Dump

17) Whale

18) Goxxed

19) Ponzi

20) Anonymous

21) Bitcoin

22) Cryptocurrency

23) Premine

24) Dev

Awesome. Are these words say extracted from the likes of bitcointalk and r/bitcoin or are they observations ?

I would love to make a graphic from the actual weighted list.

An Anonymous Dev created Bitcoin, we call him Satoshi, he did not create a Ponzi scheme, it is Innovative, the Decentralized nature of bitcoin is vastly superior to the Centralized fiat systems, it is not a scam, the Troll says that its a Whale's Pump and Dump even if he knows the Blockchain is Revolutionary, you must HODL despite the FUD, it will soon Skyrocket, unlike the other Premine Cryptocurrencies.

 ;D
