For the past five years, Bitcoin users have been innovating and creating better ways to make Bitcoin accessible to everybody. In the beginning, it was near impossible to exchange U.S. Dollars for Bitcoin. Now, of course, we use one click of a button on Coinbase, and our transaction completes. It’s fast, easy and simple.

Well most of the 3rd party costs are killing the "Bitcoin dream" - Look at what ATM fees are and you might consider the statement made, that "bitcoin is cheaper than other currencies."

If it is, it's just slightly cheaper now, because GREED is setting in now, and everyone wants a piece of the pie. {Added transactions fees from 3rd parties, will kill the coin and Satoshi's dream, as stated in his white paper.}

Yeh, your first sentence is spot on. If people start getting greedy and changing extortionate fees they'll just move on to a cheaper service. Hopefully we wont even need these sort of debit cards in the future and can just use our bitcoin directly.

I don't see what the problem is if a wallet service or exchange offers a direct card linked to one's account then there should be no fees to use it once the coins were purchased from the in-house dealer. Frankly, it's ironing out this process and showing discounts for usage is what will make it attractive to the masses and particularly woman who do the family shopping.
