My cpu is nothing, and I can live with my gpu being tied up completely. When I rpc connect to the server, does that sever need to be generating to be sending and receiving work to my network remote (gpu)computers ? when connected they show they are crunching at X rate.

No, don't enable coin generation on the Bitcoin server. That's for CPU mining with the built-in inefficient miner. |
