Title: Play BlackJack with Bitcoins!
Post by: DrKenobi on May 05, 2011, 07:08:08 AM
Hi, I really enjoyed gambling with Bitcoins, but all of the games I found were only passive. So I've made BtcJack where you can play BlackJack with Bitcoins. No the outcome of the game is finally in your hands (well, at least a bit :)

It works like this: you create an account (just choose username and password, there is no confirmation email stuff needed), send some Bitcoins to your account, and play! There are no fees on my side for playing, depositing or withdrawing, but: I'll try to be a good citizen in the Bitcoin world, so BtcJack adds an 0.01BTC fee to every withdraw (which doesn't go to me but to the miner who solves the block!).

Play BlackJack with Bitcoins! (http://btcjack.1btchost.com)

SPECIAL DEAL:
Tomorrow (in approx. 24 hours) I will put some extra Bitcoins as a bonus to some user's accounts:
  • 1.41BTC to the person who won the most money
  • 2.71BTC to the person who played for the most (total money bet)
  • 3.14BTC to the person who lost the most money

Have fun, and please leave your feedback here! Thanks :)

Cool, I like that there isn't a running score like most digital blackjack.
makes it more like a real game where you have to do your own damn math  8)

@Third War: The system has received your coins, nothing is lost! I'm sorry for the trouble but I've noticed a bug that I must fix. I'm getting the random numbers from random.org, but sometimes the site doesn't respond fast enough.

just put another btc into this (lost my first one, lol) to test the withdraw (and have a few more games ;) )
it didn't wait for confirmations before crediting my account the second time. might be another bug ...

I've played like 50 hands with no problem, but now I can't see the card images. Reloading did not help neither did opening them in new window. I just get the broken image icons.

edit: Doh. Now it's down in the middle of my hand.

Yes, random.org bite me again, I've just received empty strings instead of random numbers :(

I've now added a check and use my own random numbers in this case. I've stopped all running games, paid the bets back, and re-opend!

@deadlizard: That's not a bug, but a feature ;D Since I've screwed up when opening the page I wanted to get you to play as fast as possible and thus I removed the waiting for confirmations. I've now changed it back to needing 1 confirmation.

Are you sure you've sent your coins to the right address? You can check at www.blockexplorer.com/address/[your_address] if your transaction is in the bitcoin network. I've just checked the URL with your account's address and cannot find the transaction there. So it's no problem from my side, be assured that your coins are not lost once they get to me :)
Does your bitcoin client list the transaction as sent? Sometimes it takes a little lower to get a transaction accepted from the bitcoin network.

Edit: Ok, I've checked. You've made a very small amount and the bitcoin network takes longer to verify it because you didn't include a small fee for the block's miner. I've now accepted your deposit manually, so you can play right now 8) If you don't want to wait in the future you should either made bigger transaction or you should add a small fee in the bitcoin software (this does not depend on me, but on the whole network!).

Just curious. Looks very nice!

We don't ever plan on implementing Blackjack, but https://betco.in has poker. Hold'em only right now (NL and limit), but we are planning to fix up Omaha and Stud as well.

Not trying to steal customers here - again, we don't have any plans on implementing house games like blackjack or craps as far as I know - but I've seen people asking for BTC holdem a few places and well, it already exists :)

Good idea, thanks, will do that soon!

It's "real". I get a batch of random numbers from random.org which determine the position of each card in the stack. Though you cannot really count if you don't play many games in a short time, as the cards for all games are played from the same stack of cards.

You really should add ssl to your page, you can get a cert for free from startssl.com for example.
I don't know if that is possible with my hoster (1btchost.com). If not I will *maybe* change hosters, though I only want to use services that accept Bitcoins. Yes, although my site not 100% "green" it's 100% "Bitcoin" 8)

I like it so far except I ran into an annoying situation:

I'm dealt 3 2 .. I hit and get a 10 ... hit again and get a 6 ... I have 21.

Dealer started off with a K and flips over an A after I drew out my 21, I lose.

If the dealer has 21 right off the bat and I don't then I should lose automatically, not play to lose.

I know it's a work in progress but that sucked.

Title: Re: Play BlackJack with Bitcoins!

The dealer only gets one card. If you wouldn't have taken your last card (the 10), then the dealer would have gotten it instead of the A. So, you really have to play, as this impacts also the cards that the dealer gets.

I know that there are different rules depending on the Casino. I've played at locations where the dealer would get a second card which is not revealed. But in the most Casinos where I play the dealer only gets one card and this is how I implemented this on my site.

Is this okay for everyone, or should I change this?

I've played all over the US and I've never seen a time where the dealer only got 1 card then got the next card after all the players had completed their turn.

If you're going to do it that way then it should be a tie since the dealer drew 21 against my 21 ... not I lose because they ended up getting 21 also.

It's an interesting concept, especially since we're playing solo. I would be ok with it as long as the change above is implemented.

I get a 10 A for 21 .. stand

Dealer has a 7 and draws a 7 for 14 after I stand and the game stopped there and said I won.

The dealer did not complete the draw to => 17 or bust.

So it is solo, you against against the dealer.

I prefer a table with multiple players ... safety in numbers. Any plans to implement multi-player tables?

Maybe because a BJ will beat any other 21, so he didn't bother? Hmm, guess he wouldn't need the second card either in that case.

Except in this version (currently) the dealer doesn't have a hole card. The dealer only has 1 card showing then draws the rest of it's cards after the player stands. If I start off with blackjack then the dealer should play it's hand out to try to draw to a push. In this case it only drew one card for a total of 14 and did not meet the criteria of drawing to >=17.

Ah, maybe it's like he does have a hole card, and the second card is just the 'hole' card being turned over to see and then there is no draw because you have BJ.

First of all, I'm not from the US so maybe that's why the rules you and me know differ ;D

In this example the dealer got K A which is a BlackJack and therefore beats your "normal" 21!

So no bug, but a feature.

Game ID: 89dfd24c1745608f36fab43f106e7fda

I get a 10 A for 21 .. stand

Dealer has a 7 and draws a 7 for 14 after I stand and the game stopped there and said I won.

The dealer did not complete the draw to => 17 or bust.

You've got a BlackJack. The only chance for the dealer to not lose is to also get a BlackJack (then the result would be a tie), therefore he draws just a second card. But it's true that after the first 7 there is no chance for the dealer to get a BlackJack so the game should have just ended after your BlackJack. I'll improve the BlackJack check!

Splitting (especially A's) would be nice also.

I'm hope that's in the future.

That will be implemented once I've ironed out all the other bugs :)

Any plans to implement multi-player tables?
Yes, definitely! :)

i think your bitcoind crashed again....site seems real sluggish too..is that normal?
True, bitcoind crashed again. The good thing is that you can still play in this case, only depositing and withdrawing and registering new accounts is affected. I don't know why bitcoind keeps crashing (or getting stalled in this case). I'll implement an auto restarter, maybe every hour, to work around this.

Thanks for all your feedback it's really appreciated! And keep playing, in about four hours I will count the winning members (see first post) out and give them their bonus :)

Ah, maybe it's like he does have a hole card, and the second card is just the 'hole' card being turned over to see and then there is no draw because you have BJ.

Right now, it's this:
1. dealer gets first card which is shown
2. player gets two cards
3. player plays
4. dealer plays

So the second card for the dealer is not the "hole" card you know from US BlackJack. I see that the European rules I know may differ from the rules the majority here knows. Overall it shouldn't really make a difference if the dealer gets a second card earlier or later. I just personally like the fact that by your acting (how many cards you draw) you influence the card the dealer gets! That sometimes makes for some funny "Ouch, if I hadn't drawn the last card "3" the dealer would have gotten the "3" instead of the "A"" :)

The rules I am used to is that if the dealer does not have blackjack and the player gets blackjack the dealer still has a chance to draw out 21 to push. Blackjack (A plus 10/face card) does not beat a non A+10 that still adds up to 21, they push.

However, again what I am used to, if the dealer has a A or 10/face card showing they check the hole card for the other card that makes blackjack and if the player is not showing blackjack the house wins automatically. This is part of the house advantage that the player can't overcome because even if the player has blackjack the dealer can still draw out 21 for a push.

(However the play ends up being you really need to someone analyze it to make sure that you have a house advantage.)

Edit: I just looked it up http://wizardofodds.com/blackjack/strategy/european.html and it indeed does look like a legit type of blackjack. You might want to specify that this is European/UK blackjack vs American style. That would be frustrating as all hell for me to be in a casino and pull out a 6 card 21, on a split, or even double after a split, and the dealer pull a blackjack to beat all of it, I'd rather lose to a blackjack up front.

If you really want a mind twister, go look up Spanish 21 rules, that's big where I'm at. All (number only) 10 cards are taken out of the deck, player gets paid immediately upon getting 21, even if the dealer ends up having blackjack. You are allowed to double down more than once, but you have to double the amount on the table ... if you bet 5 and double, you can double again for 10 more for the next card.

I've never analyzed my rules, I'm just using the ones I know from some casinos and assume that these rules have indeed a small house advantage (and assume that the casinos I go to don't cheat ;)

Woah there's really a ton of nuances in these rules. I've made this site quite modular so it would be really possible for me to offer some kinds of rules to chose from! I guess I'll add a poll here soon to find out whats the most interesting feature (different rules, splitting, multitable/multiplayer)

I noticed while playing that when I bet .05 and won with blackjack that I was only awarded .12 instead of .125 ... I didn't check my wallet but it looks like the wallet only uses 2 decimal places. Any way to have the wallet use 3 decimal places for play purposes but only cash out 2 decimal places? Or else let people know they need to bet in even increments to get their full payout.

Or else let people know they need to bet in even increments to get their full payout.

someone told me earlier the latest version shows more, but i dunno if he was screwing with me..i havent checked yet.

Not yet apparently.

Site seems to be down.
I just signed up for a new account and now I get the following error:

Quote
SQL ERROR - sorry

Edit: Refreshing the play page is very slow. It takes about 1 minute and then I get either the SQL ERROR page or the play page with a blank bitcoin deposit address.

How long does it take for funds to be credited to my account?

Look for how many confirmations you have on the transaction. I think it needs at least 5 before funds are deposited.

I don't know how many confirmations it has. I sent the payment from a mybitcoin account.
3 hours and 45 minutes and still nothing!! :(

I sent another small payment, this time from the bitcoin client on my computer with a 0.01 fee.
This payment got credited to my account within about 5 minutes (after 1 confirmation).

According to bitcoincharts.com, the first payment sent from mybitcoin.com is still stuck in unconfirmed status.
Is there an option to add a transaction fee when using a mybitcoin account?

Well, the mybitcoin payment finally made it! It took over 6 hours!

I have played about 20 hands, betting the minimum 0.02 BTC and am up by 0.04 BTC.
Not to bad considering I have never played blackjack before and am still learning the game. ;D

@Third War: The system has received your coins, nothing is lost! I'm sorry for the trouble but I've noticed a bug that I must fix. I'm getting the random numbers from random.org, but sometimes the site doesn't respond fast enough.

Not sure if you've fixed this already, but perhaps you could keep a buffer of random data and have some job refill that buffer periodically/when it gets low.

Wow, quite some feedback here. Many thanks you're really awesome!! 8)

That's why the minimum bet is 0.02 (but I didn't think of the BlackJack 2.5 win, whoops!). I will soon put a new version online where I do the calculations with 3 decimal places. Then the minimum bet will be just 0.01, and you won't lose half a bitcent. Anyway all the games are recorded so once I put this version up I will recalculate so you get you 0.005 back (or more if this situation happened more often). Thanks for noticing!

Again problems with bitcoind :( I detect when it crashes and restart it immediately, but unfortunately sometimes it just gets stalled which I cannot detect easily. Thus I restart it every 60 minutes. So for now sometimes this error may occur but it should not last longer than an hour. Sorry for the inconvenience, it's quite a bummer for me that I hope to be able to fix soon ::)

One confirmation is enough. From time to time I manually accept transactions without confirmation if they are small and seem legit.

Just my two cents - it's great, but no five card charlie. Everything else has worked fine so far though!
Right now this site uses European BlackJack rules where there is not Five Card Charlie rule. I plan to implement other rules as well, though that may take a bit of time.

If you send more the transaction is likely to be accepted faster by the bitcoin network (it's a "problem" with the network, not with my site). Anyhow I've manually accepted your transaction even though it's still unconfirmed. I hope that I will eventually really get your coins ;)

Thanks, that's a good idea and way better than my current approach (use local rand() if random.org doesn't work). I will implement it in the next version. Thanks again!

As soon as I saw it I made sure my bets were even. I know of 2, and maybe 1 or 2 that I missed before I saw it, no biggie though. Great work so far!

Any idea what the time frame for adding splitting to the game is? I was begging for a split button more than once when I started off with a pair of A's or 8's vs a dealer bust card.

My experience with bitcoind has been that asking for the address of an account seems to hang if no getnewaddress has been done lately for any account.

Thus I created an account named "throwaways" and do a getnewaddress for that "throwawats" account pretty much every time I am thinking of asking for any account's address. That seemed to make the hanging/freezing go away.

I have not tested it to death though to make sure the problem really has totally utterly gone away.

I actually don't even bother using getnewaddress for any other account, since accounts that do not yet have an address seem to have one created for them anyway by the getaddress routine used to get their already existing address.

great start! things should be easy to implement:
- refresh cards through ajax
- show current player's and dealer's points

probably, not so easy to implement:
- split button

I'll try to get some free time next week, so maybe then. Otherwise it should be done the week after. I just realize that without the splitting the odds are better for the bank than they should. I'll try to compensate for this with some new bonus deposit promotion (giving away all the few coins I've made so far)!

Thus I created an account named "throwaways" and do a getnewaddress for that "throwawats" account pretty much every time I am thinking of asking for any account's address. That seemed to make the hanging/freezing go away.
Thanks for the hint! I've implemented that now, we'll see if it works as good for me as it does for you :)

I don't want to show the current points to make it more real (one commenter in this thread even mentioned specifically that he likes it cause of that). When playing Blackjack on the PC I'm always annoyed by the point displays.

Split will come "soon", and AJAX after the other interesting features (as it's just eye candy IMHO).

surrender option would be nice too.
Surrender? Why would you do that? You can just "Stay" and still have a chance of winning. Or would "Surrender" give back (some of) your money?

As for the random.org thing, random.org actually requests that you grab a large amount of random data at a time, rather than one request all the time. The reason being load on their servers. You'll probably have better luck with the buffer.

There is no surrender in European Rules Blackjack. Surrender is an option in American Blackjack when you are in a tough position such as hard 14,15, or 16 vs a dealer 10 or A, you can surrender half your bet (and save face instead of drawing and busting) and get the other half back. It a safety net for gamblers who don't like to gamble. :)

Okay thank you.

I know insurance is a sucker bet, but it would nice to have it implemented (ups the house advantage)

Things I'd like to know before playing.
Does the dealer hit on Soft 17?
Doubling allowed on any total or 9,10,11 only or 10,11 only?
Shuffle after every hand?

SPLIT!

I won't play blackjack without a split option, it simply favors the house too much without this option.

My final concern.  How can we be sure you haven't altered the odds drastically in the house favor?  Return a value from random.org, 9/10 times let it go through as is, if it's not favorable request another random to favor house.

It would simply take too many hands to determine if many losses are a string of bad luck or deliberate manipulation by the software.

No, there's plenty of money left in the system. And even if there wasn't you'd still be able to win, just withdraws would fail until I add more Bitcoins.

I can assure you that if you've won just 5 out of 20 games it was just bad luck (or missing knowledge of the rules, e.g. hitting on 21 or something like that ;)). If I look at the last 30 played games I see that just after you stopped playing another user won 2 times (with a bet of 0.20BTC).

Insurance will definitely come, as will splitting. If I just had more time... I'm in the process of moving in with my girlfriend (she lives some 100km away, and here that means far more than an one hour drive) but I hope once I'm finished I'll have more time again (well, if she let me :P)

Things I'd like to know before playing.
Does the dealer hit on Soft 17?
Doubling allowed on any total or 9,10,11 only or 10,11 only?

The dealer stays on all 17s.
You can double with any cards in the first round.
No shuffle after every hand. I'll get a random number from random.org that shuffles all cards (consisting of some decks) when the deck is empty. These cards are dealt to all playing users on a first come, first serve basis.

I won't play blackjack without a split option, it simply favors the house too much without this option.
Really? I must admit that I didn't calculate the odds when I made this site. You said that insurance would up the house advantage. Doesn't that compensate for the yet missing split option? ;D

No, seriously. I will implement split "soon". Until then, maybe you can play just with lower bets? This way you wouldn't "lose" to much due to the missing split, but still had the fun of playing.

I also sometimes do some special deals where I put extra money into player's account. Or just drop me a mail if something goes wrong and I'll compensate for your inconveniences.

My final concern.  How can we be sure you haven't altered the odds drastically in the house favor?  Return a value from random.org, 9/10 times let it go through as is, if it's not favorable request another random to favor house.

I think you can't. In the end you have to trust me. I would suggest that if you mistrust me you first just play with small bets, and then increase them. In fact many users seem to do that. The first deposits where just some bitcents and are now getting more. But even then you'd have to trust me, since in theory I could tell the software to play honest on small bets, but cheat on higher ones. I can only give you my word that I don't do that!

I've seen that other side provide an md5 checksum to prove they're not cheating. But I'm not sure how I could use that here, given how I shuffle the cards. Any ideas on this? I'd totally implement this feature as I of course know that having prove is better than just believing.

Another idea that comes to my mind right know is to display some public statistics. Display the results of the games? Of course without user names, but with or without bets? Or even making every game public, so you could see if a streak of lost games was caused by bad luck or some non-ideal decisions of the player.

You'd have to shuffle the cards differently. Give each player their own deck. Then you can show a checksum of the deck order when they start playing, and reveal it when they push through enough of the deck to trigger a reshuffle.

You should also publish your deck shuffler code :)

Lol, just kidding.  Yeah, to me it's not worth playing.  I do have to give you credit though in paying 3:2 on blackjack.  Half the tables I sit at are 6:5 or /gasp 1:1

I'm not sure how an md5 checksum would help.  I really don't even understand what they are.  I know you can use them to verify a value, but past that I don't get how it would help.

I guess, like you said, I'd just have to trust you.  I guess the same can be said for a real casino.  But online if you get caught cheating they don't take you in the back room and break your kneecaps.

Lol, I won't play more until it's more complete, but I already believe it's fair based on what I saw.

Couple more suggestions:

Auto win on blackjack. (I shouldn't be allowed to hit)
Auto counting

Thanks for your suggestions, I will definitely considering in the new version. Problem is I've already done some work on my PC and I don't what to lose that by doing other changes on the on-line site. So I'll do them locally first and then update everything in one batch.

Since it's a really hooottttt weekend over here I'd like to do a special bonus again. Every deposit you do until end of tomorrow, I will add 10%!

This applies to all deposits done and verified by my site until tomorrow, Sunday, 23:59:59 UTC. I will handle the addition of the 10% manually so it may take until Monday evening. This special bonus is limited to 10 BTC per account, and a total of 100 BTC. I will only add the 10% after manually checking whether the user has actually played games on my side. You need to place bets for at least 10% of your deposit to get the full bonus (e.g. if you deposit 1 BTC, you need to play 1 game for 0.10 BTC or 5 games for 0.02 BTC to get the bonus). To claim your bonus please post here or mail me after depositing.

Have fun :)

What does the bolded part mean?  Does it mean that if 10 people sign up and deposit 100 BTC, no one else can get the bonus?

If I understand this right, deposit 100 BTC and bet 10 BTC, you give 10 BTC bonus and all funds are available for the player after that?

No WOT other than this forum thread. But feel free to read it and see posts by some happy players :)

I suggest that you handle my site as follows: first deposit only very few BTC (at my site minimum is just 0.02 BTC), play a bit, maybe withdraw some funds, and see for yourself that everything is legit. That's what I personally do on every site here, be it MtGox, witcoin, or others.

Oh, and I'd suggest you to deposit at least 0.10 BTC, so you can take part in my 10% cash bonus.

If I cash out after playing over 10% of the deposit do I still get the bonus?  Or do the funds need to stay deposited?

I'm not a bank giving loans and taking interest... :D

So you can cashout and still receive the bonus!

But of course you can also enjoy playing :)

Eh, I have a strict system when I play.  I am a degenerate gambler by nature, and if I don't withdrawl my initial deposit after going up 30% I end up blowing it all. lol

Don't worry, everything is fine on my site :) It may take a few minutes for your deposit to be confirmed by the bitcoin blockchain, though!

I've put the 10% bonus into the first two users' accounts. The other bonuses I will add on Monday, have to sleep now (tomorrow is big moving day :o)

I've added the 10% for you.

I'm sorry that you had a really unlucky streak. Just before you started there was someone playing who had a reeeally lucky streak! I know this info won't help you much.. but still, maybe your 10% help you to either recover your loss our to play again :)

Okay, but now I'm going to bed for real..

I played more for smaller amounts and of course now I win a few times.  It would be nice if cashing out didn't have the transaction fee, or give you the option to pay it.  But I got the bonus quickly.  Would do business again!

Just wish I could split!  Or see my balance while playing.

Multiple players where the dealer is dealt 1 hold card (face up) has always been the most enjoyable format for me.
There is extra excitement because the player on the end feels they have extra power in the game when choosing to hit or stand.

Hi!

I agree.

Also, I just played a few hands and came away a winner! [Deposit .50 and withdrew .80 - .01 = .79]
I had fun playing. I had several streaks. I won several in a row then lost several in a row (kept getting dealt 16 for some reason). I kept going back and forth like this many times
I ended on a winning streak.

Feature requests:

  • When a new user goes to make a deposit, clearly state "Your deposit will be complete with the next block"  OR "Your deposit will clear after 1 confirmation."
I got a little nervous when I made a deposit and I had to wait for a particular long block to be solved.
  • During the actual game, I have no idea how many Bitcoins I have.
The game shows "You won or lost XX BTC!" But it does not show my current balance. I have to keep a running total in my head, or I have to click on the Home Page link to see my current balance.
  • When I go to the Home Page, the preset bet is set back to default.
It should be set to what ever the last bet was in the last game. I don't want to accidentally make a bigger bet, and then lose.
  • This is Blackjack! You allow us to Double Down, so Please allow us to Split

Welp just lost .6

Before i go back you NEED a running total during play.

Split function needs to work. Also some sort of public verification that its actually random and not tipped in your favor... atleast with betco im playing against other people and not a computer program written by you, no offense.

I recommend randomization services through http://random.org/ who provides true randomization, not scripted pseudo-randomization.

It can add credibility to your service.

The first three points I will add in a few days. I don't want to change anything if I don't have much free time at that day to look for introduced new bugs. But I will do these things for sure, so thank you very much for these ideas! Split is next on my list, right after that!

I'm already using true random numbers from random.org :) I think there are many players who can vouch for me being credible, and that everything on my site is legit.

I have played quite a bit of the blackjack and I feel it is very fair RNG wise. I have had some good results. Like others have said the only problem is you cannot split and that is a major flaw. That definitely adds to the house advantage. Also there is no insurance option when the dealer has Ace showing. I am not a big fan of the European style rules of only giving the dealer one card to begin the game. For example if you have 10 or 11 and the dealer is showing a face card and you double down and then the dealer has blackjack you lose two bets. Other than that the game works very good.

One time I did get charged .02 fee instead of .01 when I cashed out an odd amount of like .57btc it gave me .55 I have done several withdrawls and this bug only happened once.

I've given this link to quite some people via email but thought it would be worthwhile to also make it public here:

http://btcjack.1btchost.com/stats.php

This URL gives you a live statistic over my system. Right now, its output is:

Quote
total number of games played: 47894
games lost: 23407 (49%)
games tie: 3951 (8%)
games won: 20536 (43%); of which with blackjack: 2143 (4%)

that means if you'd bet 1 BTC, on average you'd get back: 0.97 BTC

I permanently monitor my system to make sure I'm not unknowingly "cheating" (e.g. due to software bugs) and neither are the players. The 0.97% quote looks good to me. Given that there a A LOT of players who play non-optimal (not to say "bad"), like hitting on a 19 or staying at a 13, this should look equally good for you players. Especially if you consider that I pay out 2.5 times your bet on a BlackJack ;D

Thanks for your trust in me and my site! And please keep sending me emails, I love reading them :)

Bye, DrKenobi

*sigh* I wonder how many people have to post here saying my site is legit, before people who are having issues stop shouting I was scamming ::)

Ampix0, you've bet 1 BTC and won 7 BTC. You should be happy about your luck! When you withdrew there indeed was an error, the site couldn't reach my bitcoind instance (which is for security reasons not on the same server, so your coins are safe). If you have a look at my site you'll see that you still have the 7 BTC in your account. Please just try withdrawing again.

I see the 7 bitcoins are there Just understand that when I try to withdraw and I see an error that looks incredibly fishy, I think you can agree with that if you were in my spot.

I will absolutely vouch and even recommend this to people when it works.

Side note* will the ability to split ever be added?

Hi, I've just noticed that my site is unavailable right now, it just gives a 403 error. It seems that all sites hosted by my webhost are affected. The Bitcoins you've deposited on my site are safe! They are stored on a physically different server and are not accessible to whoever delete the website. Even if they were, only a small fraction are stored on the other server. Most of the coins are stored offline (that's why withdraws of larger amounts take longer, I have to manually acknowledge them).

Again: no need to worry, your Bitcoins are not lost!

I will try to investigate with the webhost that happened and will bring the site back up. I've just became a father and have different plans with my (soon-to-be) fiancee, so please bear with me when I have to tell you that I cannot bring the site back up until next week. I will add 10% to everyone's deposit there, though.

But, maybe: if my hoster finds the cause, maybe he will restore the site. But until I post again in this thread I won't have checked if everything is working fine again.

Thanks for your understanding!
