The Trade In
We are currently in talks with exchanges to host the trade in of ROM for MNTA.  
We have premined the same number of Moneta as there are Romancoin in existence +1% to account for stakes between now and then.  Any extra coins will be lumped in with any coins that go unclaimed to be used for bounties and the stability fund.


The Stability Fund
Any coins that go unclaimed will be used to start a stability fund for Moneta.  On top of that we have a large ROM investor willing to allow us to use his stash to add more funds to the stability fund.  
We have made a deal with a proven investor to manage the fund.  He will be using leverage to gain positions in undervalued coins to turn a profit which can be used to stabilize and raise Moneta's value.

The stability Fund is one aspect that is new. But the main point of this coin is for Roman coin users to have a coin they can use and know the dev is active. With that being said we are very active and will work with the community to continually bring new features to this coin. Also with it joining Diem's family of coins , this coin will be starting off with its own custom merchant and access to anything Diem coin has.

Looks like were going to do a tradein via a website.  Bittrex apparently doesn't want us back and polo doesn't want to host the swap.  No big deal.  We're going to do everything we can to get Moneta listed on polo.  We've already been talking to them.  We'll keep you updated as things progress.

We are going to make it an easy process for everyone to do the swap.

what does it mean we will not get a coin with mining?

All of the coins have already been mined in block 1 so we have coins for everyone during the tradein.  No coins will be minted with pow the dev team will prob just cpu mine though that phase so we can get off too staking.  

Were working on the tradein site and it should be up in the next couple days so we don't have a "release date".  We'll announce when we get the site up an running so everyone can start trading in.

@Dev Does it make sense continue staking Romancoin or you devs have done a snapshoot of Romancoin blockchain some time ago ?

hi, I downloaded the client for the mac, but:
"Moneta-Qt" is damaged and can not be opened. You should eject the disk image.

Unfortunately I don't think Bittrex wants us.  Not till we can get some vol going.  I don't think we need them though.  If we can get some real vol and close up that buy/sell gap on polo I'm sure they will add us the the btc market.  We just need to get some coins moving on there.

Let get some buy walls up at a reasonable level guys.  I think that's the key.

What do you mean "no Dev"? There's 2 of us here and we have two technical devs working with us. How would you like to see us market it?  How is Polo a weak exchange?  Given we are on the XMR market but polo is a great exchange.  Just need to get word out there and build some interest.

I think ROM just fell off of a lot of people's radar and Moneta without any kind of mining/ipo/free distribution just doesn't have a community at the moment.
I agree 100%... 3738 is RIDICULOUS!  That guy must have really wanted out.

The point is romancoin has changed into moneta now but whats the plan for the future. If there isnt Any plan no one will buy moneta.

We need to get the trade in taken care of.  After that we can start the stabilization fund once we know how many coins go unclaimed but until then we're in limbo.

The best thing I'd say we can do is work on spreading awareness of the trade in. We have several plans to get this coon moving but none can move forward until the trade is done.

With that being said if anyone is aware of any multipool operators I'd love to talk to them ;)

Lol c-cex listed us same time as polo did. I would say we need to get some real volume going or we could loose polo. That being said would any one here be game if we IPO the remainder of the unexchanged? That way we can get more coins out to the masses as well as use the coin made to stabilize our self's. Sorry for the no sync problems everyone. We think this is due to no seeds being active. We are wondering if anyone who has had their moneta wallet recently synced could copies their block info ( bootstrap ) for us. If you need instructions on how to do this please pm me ☺

Poloniex has enabled staking now but it's temporarily to jumpstart the network but deposits and withdrawals need to be disabled while it is on. Hopefully after several blocks we will have enough in our wallets to keep the network going

1 month further still no working wallet and transactions. :(

coin is dead ,, only tradable some exchanges

Surprised by a number of things with MNTA. I have a transaction that is *still* pending after 10 months going into Poloniex. Not bothered by that as I have given up ages ago.

I am surprised that Poloniex have not stop trading in MNTA with the wallet not working for such a long time now. At the moment, not surprising deposits and withdrawals are "temporarily disabled". Other exchanges would have terminated trading on inaccessible altcoin wallets for a significantly less period of time.

I am also a bit surprised that there is some albeit light activity on MNTA-XMR on Poloniex. Considering I see no direction/vision for the coin at all. Remember this coin has nothing to do with the moneta/zerocoin protocol thing that kicked off last year. This coin would appear to absolutely pointless and worthless now. So any trading activity on Poloniex seems very suspicious IMHO.  ;)
