Title: Huge faucets database for newbies (no mining needed)
Post by: kattekop on August 15, 2014, 01:10:47 PM
http://cryptodatabase.net
http://sigue.mx/faucet

The last one is offering 10 000 satoshis, only 3-4 dispenses and I got them. Then click cashout.

Your balance: Current: 9,000 satoshis | All time: 35,500 satoshis
Another dispense ;)

For the database, you don't have to install the clients and download blockchains, just use paper wallets.

You should list out faucets with pay rates, the activity required to achieve payment, and the frequency (times per day) one can conduct the activity to achieve the payment.

Providing links isn't as useful as you writing out the summary that can then be referred to by every person that comes along in the future with the same questions.

Just in case newbies see this thread and don't understand what "testnet" means, testnet is a way to test Bitcoin functionality without working with the official public blockchain. This means that any and all transactions through testnet are only usable within the testnet for testing purposes. While, in theory you could pay for things using the testnet, it's like accepting wooden nickles for your services. Sure, you get something, but it's just junk.

You can learn more about the Bitcoin testnet on the Bitcoin.it Wiki (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Testnet).

I have seen this advice hundreds of times here, I wonder if there's someone who doesn't follow these simple guidelines.

Although I'm not a huge fan of faucets, you can also try landofbitcoin.com. Sites like that offer a convenient way of dealing with faucets and might save you a lot of time.
