Title: Simple open rig idea that works. Post by: darkice on March 28, 2012, 02:01:08 PM Hi I have 6 of those in the picture that are happily mining for a while,
I thougth about building a wooden rack vs to support the rig but then a single thread of cable from a cat5 did the trick, wanted to share it. https://i.imgur.com/pMhmi.jpg cheers Title: Re: Simple open rig idea that works. I notice your PSU is "behind" the rig. I have found turning PSU on the side and putting it "beside" the rig helps keep all the heat sources blowing the same way (cool air behind rig, hot air in front of rig). That was a minor thing that helped and it didn't occur to me till I was walking in our datacenter and looked at some servers which have "front mounted PSU". Lightbulb moment. Post by: darkice on March 28, 2012, 03:22:12 PM The rack in the picture is housed in my datacenter, which has a cold aisle at the front and a hot one at the back, there is a pretty decent flow of 22 degrees celsius air over the rig so fan placement has little effect on the outcome :), GPUs are at 70 degrees or so even when OC'd to death :)
