Title: I, Task; You, Prize
Post by: Bitcoinexp on August 23, 2014, 02:39:29 PM
All right, this is my 2nd game ;D (Hope it lasts ;))
As usual, participation is free.
There are no restrictions.
Newbies(sock puppet accounts) are welcome. They wouldn't help you anyway. :P

I, Task; You, Prize
To put a little spin on things, I've decided on several core rules on the game.
Just as the title says:
1. I choose the task.
2. You choose the prize and number of winners through a poll.
Simple as that...

Now, as for the extra rules for this particular game.
The task is poetry. Yes, poetry or simply, "words".
Option 1
1. You think of a poem, verse, quote, rhyme that you think sounds good, looks good and reads good.
2. Post it here.
3. PM me a random 2 digit number. (This actually influences your chance at winning) < Optional
4. Wait for my announcement.

Option 2
1. You copy paste a poem, verse, quote, rhyme that you think sounds good, looks good and reads good.
2. Post it here.
3. PM me a random 2 digit number. (This actually influences your chance at winning) < Optional
4. Wait for my announcement.

Now, to take part. Reply in this format and this format only. You can post feedback in the normal way  :)

Option:
Content:

EDIT: Those who do not reply in this format will be ignored for want of a better word.

PS:// Option 1 winners will receive 100% of prize. Option 2 winners will only receive 50%.
Also, i only like a certain genre of poems, verses, quotes and rhymes... Based on how much i like them, i will score you on a range of 1-9 (Main bit of your chance at winning). Lastly, don't fret if you get a low score, everyone has a chance of winning  ;)

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE  ;D
Any Questions, Post Below

Quote
'Alone! ' I cried again.
'Alone I am with me!
Lonely in a world of mist
Alone, I reach to touch your wrist
And see if I am thee.’

To be alone beside a soul
Afloat, adrift; an empty ghoul
Alone in woe; the yearning flesh
To fill a thin, contorted mesh
Diffuse atop an icy floor, alone.

So much alone in fact, I lack
The tonal vibrancy of life:

I am a song without a tune
alone;
A greying sky in June
alone;

The blueness of a sullen moon
– waning in a starless night–
alone;

Coasting down a weedy pass
alone;
The only image in the glass
alone;

To meet a certain heavy fate
– to turn and shut the knurly gate–

…alone.

I am interested and want to try your luck alone :)

ok this is my fast hihi

A Deep Meaning of Friendship

Friendship is like the two rings that have different shapes
But can be combined with a very strong sense
Friendship is just a word
But it has a deep meaning
We’ll feel it when actually find
A continued friend in a life
Friendship has always been an oasis when we experience sadness
Friendship is always a joy to be complementary
A day without friends is very strange
Months without friends are very painful
True friends will always be missed
Talks will continue to be memorable
Easy to get a rich friend
But hard getting a forever friend
Because a true friend is not for a reason

For Us, For Our Love

I'm always grateful for the grace of God
Because Of
I have two eyes to see your smile
I have two hands to hug your body
I have two ears to hear your voice
I have two legs to come to
and only have one heart
to love you

You are in my space
Smile in the happyness shade
In pain you should steadfastly
In the story that God has predestined

God will keep our love
Love is in the wake of the purity of love
fueled by the sanctity of love
For us, to love us

Unfortunately, the
Remember
Anything in you
That's you that I love

The Love of My Life

When she appeared in my life, life stopped,
since love of family, neither Oedipal nor Elektral,
was surpassed, conquered, topped,
by urges which drove me to a point of frenzy.

Speaking to her was painful,
since I felt unable, incapable of earning
her admiration. Anger, dismayal:
she spurned me away again.

That was 5 years ago now.
Maybe 6 in fact - time is immaterial,
time is pointless since it cannot explain how
my wife was stolen away from me.

She was of course my wife.
After a year, this woman
became the love of my life
and fell for an unworthy fool like me.

Self-depreciation does not suffice,
for my lack of self-value drove
me to all sorts of vice
and culminated in the end of her life.

Turned to the bottle, fearing my neighbours,
I drank myself to sleep
to avoid the vicious rumours
that were in fact created by a sick imagination.

Sobriety would have saved her,
since alcohol left its putrid stench
on the blood-stained car
long after the collision that killed the love of my life.

Let me be the ONE I want tonight,
I'm leaning on you, whispering with bright,
You think i'm your friend, that's not enough,
Let me be in LOVE with you my sweet doughnut.

If the moonlight touches you, that's me i caress,
As billion stars i'm kissing you, my sweetest,
My humble message is whispered by trees,
I love you so much, my little bee.

to whom it may concern

To whom it concerns, Darlene's work will be late,
it fell on her pancakes and stuck to her plate...
To whom it concerns, my ma made me write this,
and I'm just her kid, so how could I fight this...
To whom it concerns, I lost my assignment,
maybe I'll get lucky, solitary confinement...
To whom it concerns, Darlene's great with the ball,
but guys don't watch tomboys when they're cruising the hall...
To whom it concerns, I just turned thirteen,
too short to be quarterback, too plain to be queen...
To whom it concerns, I'm not made of steel,
when I get blindsided my pain is quite real...
I don't mean to squawk, but it really burns...
I just thought I'd mention it, to whom it concerns

There is a candle in your heart,
         ready to be kindled.
There is a void in your soul,
         ready to be filed.
you feel it,don't you?
you feel the separation
         from the Beloved.
Invite Him to fill you up,
         embrace the fire.
Remind those who tell you otherwise that
         Love
comes to you of its own accord,
         and the yearning for it
cannot be learned in any school.

Hello guys!

I am the previous winner of this giveaway. Because of that, OP has given me a clue to this task.

All right... I've got a little something going on now. But when i get back I'll start the game(yes, now its become a game).

As before and hopefully always, the game will remain free and all can participate, including newbies. Because now, through my game, having multiple accounts won't give you an advantage at all. It could even cause the opposite.
Now, as the winner of my first round of give-away/games. You are entitled to a clue. I will now give you the clue before the game starts, so that you can think about it.  ;D It might or might not help to have the clue so early  :-X

Clue: Dark

Feel free to post this on my next thread, but only in my next thread if you choose to do so.

That's it. I don't really understand it though :D
And i'm not good at making poem, so i won't join this one.

Good Luck Everyone!

I was silent.
We can't, we just can't...

All right, I'm tallying some of the scores now. Since the option of 5 winners has more or less been chosen, I'll let this game run for some time before i announce the winner. Don't worry, there's nothing for me to get by making a runner. Also, it seems the past winner has decided to share the clue, here's a hint: it's about what i like.  ;)

PS:// To those who chose option 1: Y'know, Google is such a wonderful thing, i can easily search a certain something to see whether the certain something has already existed before. :P

There are a couple of neat original poems here... imo although I'm not participating the people who've made the effort and come up with something interesting deserve the prize opposed to the people who have just copy pasted poems from others (almost all without crediting the actual poet).

Nice competition anyways!  8)

::In Time::

Pantomime in time, betwixt some far-fetched divine,

The light asked the dark, "Would you be mine?"

Chrysanthemums bloom from questions answered by questions,

In Summer or Winter, depends upon suggestion.

The skyline is resplendent, but somber at best.

The moon shall rise and set just to give the sun a rest.

Pantomime sublime, betwixt the mind,

The dark replied to the light, "Only in time."

I personally award the entry with marks based on language, changing of tone, flow, and the usage of words. (most of the time, based on my mood, and what i like)
So, if i gave you a 3, it would be 3x10=30 marks.
4 for 4x10=40 marks.

The random number you guys sent me was actually a part of your marks.
Here's an example, if you chose 22. It would be 2+2=4 extra marks.
If you chose 86. It would be 8+6=14 extra marks.

The two are then added up to your final scores.

I will start the next game after the winners have been awarded accordingly.
Just to tell you guys, the next game will be much more fun, and simpler to play.
I got some feedback that this game had too many rules and options which might have confused some.
So, i will reduce the rules of the next game, and hopefully, it won't be less worth than the games before.  :)

TOP 6 are underlined.

So, the secret of the random 2 digit numbers have been revealed.
They account for a part of your final points. The 2 digit numbers are lined on the left while the marks awarded are on the right. The final score is below your names. Winners please PM me your addy for the prize. Also, since it's a tie between 5th and 6th place, I've decided to credit both. Bitcoins will be awarded based on the options as stated in OP.
Option 1 receives 100% of the prize,
Option 2 receives 50% of the prize.
I will check to see if those with Option 1, are indeed newly written and not copy paste products. Even slightly edited entries will be counted as option 2 works.

I think I won :) right??

Sending you a pm with addy. Thanks
