Title: Seals With Clubs Questions
Post by: marketorder on August 30, 2014, 10:12:41 PM
I'm a beginner with not allot of money $150 worth of Bitcoin to start. Which active table do you recommend? Also I notice the active tables people are betting in increments of 1.0 on up is that 1.0 Bitcoin or a smaller denomination? Is there tables where people are playing for smaller amounts if so which ones are those?

1 more question how long does it take for the deposit to show up in your account?

.001 btc = 1 chip.  You should probably play at 1 chip tables.

so you have about 300 chips, i think you should play .05/.10 like the guy above said 1 btc = 1000 chips

Bankroll-management (BRM) is very important at poker. I am not a cash player, but AFAIK:

- you should generally get max buyin at the table
- you should have like 25 max buyins so in a bad beat you don't lose too much

Generally the max buyin is 100 big blinds (BBs) so you need 2500 BBs.

So 0.05/0.10, max buyin is 10 (100*0.1BB=10) so 300 chips is 30x the max buyin. Looks good to me! :)

BTW, BRM is mostly meant for winning players so you can handle bad beats and the variance. If you are just beginning, not expecting a profit and just want to have some exciting fun, you could play higher stakes than that. If you want to take it seriously and be profitable, you should stick to some proper BRM :)

Deposit takes 2 confirmations.
