Canada post does not operate as a government agency and is therefor not subsidized by federal grants. We in Canada pay full shipping expenses unlike most of the known world.

You sound a bit "up yourself" coming out with rubbish like that. I wasn't aware that there were parts of the world which were unknown? The way I see it, Canada post offers similar rates to every other postal service and I'm not sure other countries are giving out subsidies like you think they are.

Example, quote from Canada post to the UK:
International Letter-post
Base price: $2.83
Advice of Receipt: $2.50
Registered (insurance up to $60): $16.50

No point paying for insurance that costs more than the product, so postage with delivery tracking costs roughly: $5.79 USD or 0.012 bitcoin. Not 0.06.
