Title: Armory security procedure question [NEWB ALERT]
Post by: elguapo4twenty on September 02, 2014, 05:10:57 AM
Would the following procedure be secure?

1) disable internet on PC
2) create 3 out of 6 frag wallet
3) delete wallet except for "watch only"
4) turn Internet back on and send bitcoins to said wallet

I have read many places that these steps need to be done on an offline computer and import "watch only" to an online computer, BUT I was wondering if it would be safe to do them on the same computer but just offline and delete wallet before going online?

Unplugging the internet temporary is not the same as a completely separate computer that has never touched the internet. For example, you run the risk of having a computer that is already compromised while doing all this. It's possible that something malicious on your computer saves temporary data until you have internet again.
