Title: Re: Mod Please Help Me
Post by: vampire on April 15, 2012, 11:30:56 PM
Hello, I have a problem.
I joined this site to sell some silver and coins I have.
Last week I put up this auction:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=75929.0

But there was an error in the listing which I couldn't edit.
Now there is turmoil in the thread.
Could you please delete the thread?
I will put it up for sell again.

Also, I have shown proof of the coin, I am not trying to scam or anything.
I am not going to ask any one for BTC.

It will help out a lot if you could delete this thread or direct me to someone who can.
Thank you so much and I am very sorry,

Jurema

Please Contact me if you have any questions.

Lock it. You fucked the thread up yourself.

The thread will not be deleted. This was your own fault.

More than that, the thread should be perma linked to your sig to show everyone that you are a scammer.

LOL @ the attempted scam. What's that account you're trying to post from?

You can lock the thread yourself.  I don't recommend auctioning off stuff on this forum, there are better sites for such things.  But if you do, be explicit about your end time and reserve price.

He is attempting to scam by having multiple accounts to bid on his own items:

Wow, nice coin.
I bid 2BTC shipped to CA.

^ he probably forgot to log out his current account lol

Dumb scammer is dumb and doesn't know how to use 1 browser per account?

I see you said he was lolwut on the auction thread.
I can say I bought a Kindle Fire from lolwut and the deal went smooth. Maybe a carder, but not a scammer ;D At least the Amazon registration of the Kindle Fire didn't ring any bells so far lol

Not me, I didn't say that lolwut was his other account. Kluge said that:

 :-\
Any idea which of their accounts this was supposed to come from?  Just curious.
I lean toward lolwut, who, IIRC (and if I'm not, I apologize), is a sockpuppet in an group of at least two other accounts (gamer81592 or something, and the fellow claiming to be giving away a $500 Amazon card). There's also the fellow selling a laptop ~$150 more than you could grab the same model (I made a post in the relevant thread, but decided it was in bad taste) @ Sears, while claiming it's 2x retail, giving a queer explanation his dad buys them.

Anyhoo, seems a good place to note I do free escrow service. - And I retract all bids in case the deal falls through between Jurema and himself.

oops, got confused, sorry! Anyway, my statement about lolwut remains the same, just directed it at the wrong person ;)

Could the mods check and see how many accounts do him have? I'm thinking this is yet another scammer who're plaguing the boards again.

I know it's cliché, but that which has been seen cannot be unseen, especially when the first response is quoting it.

Frankly, I'm surprised that you're trying so hard to attempt to salvage this account's reputation when there are only 50 posts on it, and you clearly have others that we don't know about.

Yeah, we looked into it. I can only say that the way he was connecting was such that we cannot possibly link him to any other account without several false-positives. Thus, we can't mark him as a scammer for being linked to other scammers, but you should still most definitely stay away.
