If it turns out you're right, then we'll think about adjusting it. Regarding risk, aside from several months of development costs, our Bot is constantly playing. So you can play against him. In fact, he sometimes make bad bets. So if you watch him, you can take advantage. The bot plays by the same rules as everyone else, except we allow him to place bets below the minimum. It took me a couple minutes to realize what was going on and how everything worked but once I did it was very easy to make a hugely +ev bet. This site does need some good marketing (it seems like for most of the hourly games it's just your bot playing) and some good promos (NOT just giving money away to people who will never deposit their own money and are just freerolling you) and a couple of rule tweaks to draw more people in/make it more conducive to gamblers, but if you get all that stuff in order I can see this getting pretty big.

Those are great rewards! The chance that KnCMiner is mining a block is about 6% now. Atleast, what I see is that 6% of the blocks mined last weeks where mined by KnCminer. That makes it risky to choose for KnCMiner, but if you are not willing to take the risk, there's no chance that you win such rewards. I will start betting soon again ;). You can relate this to the percentage / probability that that pool is going to mine the next block; bigger pools (with more hashrate) have a bigger chance to mine that particular block. You might manually spread your bet on a couple of pools indeed. But, if you spread your bet on 5 pools, there's of course still a chance that another pool (which you have not chosen) mines the block. As you can see, Eligius pool mined the block mentioned above. Eligius has only 5% chance to mine that pool (according to the total hashrate), so the people who bet on this one where quite lucky ;). It is very difficult to predict the winning miner, the tricky part is if you choose a miner which is less likely to win you get better profit if that miner wins but then the chances of them winning is also small, if you choose the bigger miners which are more likely to win, you'll have to make a big bet to get a decent amount from the winning pot because they're the ones with most bets.
