Try to find someone near you to exchange BTC for actual money.

Alternatively,
Cash - https://www.cavirtex.com/methods (https://www.cavirtex.com/methods)
Paypal - https://www.virwox.com/ (https://www.virwox.com/)

Yup, multiple options for cash deposit in Canada, including Virtex, Canadian Bitcoins, and more.  There's even mobile phone / SMS  -- though it is more expensive.

You can buy and sell bitcoins at Bitcoins Canada (https://www.bitcoinscanada.ca). It's easy.

It is very unfortunate, but for the last few months bitcoins have been extremely overpriced in Canada (comparing to other markets).

I use cavirtex.com.  It is extremely convenient because they accept bill payment from BMO, so I just pay the bill and next day my money is there.  (they have other methods like direct deposit).

I have also wired money to MtGox via a regular bank transfer.  That worked well, but did cost about $20.

Never used bitcoinscanada.com ...looks interesting.

Having a Cavirtex account also lets you deposit IN Cash, at any BMO and Bank of Nova Scotia Branch.

This link will give you instructions: https://www.cavirtex.com/methods#cad_deposit

Simply go to a BMO or to a BNS and go to the Teller, with your Cash.

You will need your Cavirtex Account Number and thier TAYPE number.

Then go to the bank, deposit the cash. This will then transfer (usually within 12 hours) to Cavirtex. You can then confirm the payment with them and it will be immediately available for use!

Hope This Helped!

I prefer Libertybit---but personally I can't wait until we get Coinbase connected to Canadian banks. BTC market needs more competition in Canada.

Libertybit is the most expensive way to buy bitcoins.

but it's also the most profitable way to sell bitcoins. :p can't beat 0.5% trade fee + $2 for withdraw.

I just bought my first bitcoins today with libertybit.

I made an account the other day. I deposited cash at a cibc and the funds were available in my account in about 5 hours. I then opened a trade to buy my coins. It was really easy and fast.

I didn't like the idea of just handing over cash into an account but what can you do.
