ive been meaning to try this mining out and potentially build a mining rig out of some old pc parts i have. so at present ive set it all up on my mac to try it out, before going to the trouble of building a rig. ive set up to mine in slush's pool, enetered the details on mac miner, which i believe is the same as bfgminer, which is supported by the pool. ive started the miner but its never accepting anything, i just get this message every 20s; 20s: 0.0 avg: 0.0 u: 0.0 h/s | A:0 R:0+0(none) HW:0/none and every 10-20 min i get this; [2014-09-14 17:32:06] New block: ...426e058b #320681 diff 29.8G (213.5P) [2014-09-14 17:32:06] Stratum from pool 0 detected new block [2014-09-14 17:32:06] Stratum from pool 0 detected new block any ideas on what ive done wrong?. Normal. Your mac is so useless that it cannot find any valid shares to submit. Btw, you cant "build a mining rig out of some old pc parts". Title: Re: not accepting anything? Post by: notlist3d on September 17, 2014, 02:21:46 AM Might try a Scrypt coin, but sadly GPU day's are gone for most. I think it's having trouble mining bitcoin it does not stand a chance against asics. I cannot be sure but i know some old asics without proxy that act the same.
