Title: Level of Anonymity

I'm not sure how to expand on this, but perhaps this is enough for others to make it more informative and resourceful of a reference.

Questions I'd like to have answered (for myself at least) and possibly outlined/documented in the wiki somehow, are, for example in this scenario:

If I post to Internet anonymously a bitcoin address and later receive bitcoins sent to that address.  If at anytime I nonanonymously spend those bitcoins, will my anonymity be revealed?  If so, this is one example scenario I would like to have documented to explain yes/no and provide understanding to those who may not be familiar or understand what types of anonymous methods exist or can occur. <-- Does this make sense?

Very quick reply, I should be going to sleep:

I think it would be helpful to describe how much anonymity you can expect based on what you expect from a potential attacker.

There's a big difference between "I'm worried about somebody tracing transactions back to me by looking through the block chain" (easy solution: mix up your coins by sending them to and from a mybitcoin.com account a couple of times over a couple of days; send them in batches over time to be really safe) and "I'm worried about somebody tracing the transactions I'm making by watching all of the IP traffic coming from my machine (much, much harder to guard against).

These solutions of one transferring money to oneself... ok, currently most transactions are not taxed, but one day they might be, right?
Relying on a solution for anonymity that requires money to be spent worries me a bit.... (not that I have a better solution, though  :-\ )

Keep track of who this POS is, in case he changes his display name later...
