Title: this part of Economics section of the forum turned in one big Circus
Post by: crocko on September 23, 2014, 12:58:01 PM
I find very sad that this part of "Economics" section of the forum it is now full of trolls and there is a huge lack of well written articles.
I believed this section was about the  Bitcoin price. When it is down or up, I want to find here answers not to Google.
IMO you can't find anymore USEFUL information here. Only mindless flame wars between trolls and HODLers.
There is no admin to restore the order here ?

I am so sorry our beloved public open discussion forums about new technology and a speculative market failed you to foresee the future and failed you to collect rare knowledge effortlessly on your part.

I am so sorry............ we failed..........

Agreed in principle, OP, but look back a year or two - it wasn't much better then.

We lost one of the most insightful posters, imo (chodpaba), but on the other hand, people like RyNinDaCleM, or  Peter R , are posting extremely high quality content.

My suggestion: skim the forum, but really read by posters. I have a list of good posters that I more or less "follow", which is a lot more efficient imo than trying to go through all the new threads.

I agree it's a mess and full of trolls but what would you like the staff to do? I see and move a lot of silly speculation threads from the main forum and whilst I like that we have quite a liberal anything - or almost anything - goes attitude part of me just wishes we trashcanned certain pointless / duplicate threads that gets posted, but it's a slippery slope if we do start moderating threads like that as it's always hard to distinguish between who's the genuine troll/fudster or just a clueless and eager newb as well. Whatever happens though you're never going to keep everyone happy.

Why no one said that "this part" = speculation subforum?

There are newbies around that might not be familiar with the forum structure.

And dumb people that might think the meta section is to post about BTC price

because it was posted in the speculation forum, then blitz moved it, so maybe not everyone realizes it's sort of out of its original context now.
