Why did you put Trolling in the title? Looks pretty cool. Was this a live hologram of him or was it pre-recorded? They should do this at his trial that they're trying to set him up for  ;D. Would also be pretty funny if his hologram could gatecrash something official like at the UN or something  :D.

Technically impossible, you need incredible computation power to render so big models in the real time. You also need a big  output power to make your figure visible during the daylight times.

Discussions and questions about this technology all over the place and it looks like there are different ways to do it.

Looks like another case of some morons mislabelling things based on what they look like in Science because they haven't bothered to go and actually look at how they work, like the stupid virgin galactic 'space' plane.

Of course these technologies are pretty old and there are a lot of ways to create such images. Thanks for links but is there any example of real-time and photorealistic projection? Existent examples are far away from photorealistic and were demonstrated during the nighttime only. I doubt that it's possible  to create a dynamic, giant & photorealistic 3D projection nowadays.

People reported that airplane as "grey" - little detail, they was visible only for a short period of time, travelling at impossible-for-airdensity speed, requiring only a handful of "frames" to be rendered, and it's a rigid object, not requiring alternation from frame to frame, there was even no destruction animation, that should have been there for a realistic imact.

Hm... What about witnesses then? Please note that I'm not trying to claim that your statement is wrong but there were many testimonies... Are they intelligence officers or just a bunch of idiots? ::)

What did they really see in that split-second? I've seen testimonials of people who say they saw a grey military plane with no windows (which might be an evidence of a low-detail/low-resolution hologram), I've also seen testimonials which appear planted, on par with "Russian army is marching though Ukraine" ones.

People can be made to believe they saw something; there was an interesting documentary that I watched a few years back, where a group of people was lead to believe they were witnesses to a crime and that they could recall all the details, that in reality were not there.

The most damning evidence here are not the humans, but the physics, the interaction of materials, or rather lack thereof. Because the next thing they'll be telling is that it's possible to destroy centimetre-thick steel support columns with millimetre-thin aluminium soda cans, if only they are accelerated fast enough.
