Title: Bitcoinica hack - timeline of events? Post by: superfastkyle on May 13, 2012, 02:18:55 AM I thought maybe we could put any information we have together in a timeline format maybe it will have some answers. It is my personal opinion that this hack sounds very suspicious. Especially after zhoutong no longer claiming ownership. I tried depositing some coins on that night only for the deposit not to go through. My genius idea was to go long that night something I hadn't done in months, so I deposit some BTC. They do not show up in my bitcoinica account. It seems to me based on what happened that the "hot wallet" server was offline for over 6 hours. Why wasn't something done to shut it down in over 6 hours? Who knows what the hacker was able to get in 6 hours?
