I just bought a razor with a pretty cruddy blade. The edge seems fine, but there is some surface rust. I would like to use it, and would greatly appreciate your services.

I took your advice (which was also the advice given to me by someone at the gun show) and got the rust off. It will take some work to get it bright and shiny. I tried to use it last night after passing the blade over a hone about 200 times, and then stropping it about 150. It was one of the most miserable shaves I've ever had. It could've been me not getting the angle right, but it could also be that the blade needs some more work. Title: Re: I need someone to restore a straight razor blade.
