Is there a law for shipping  or being in possession of rifle scopes? At my college, they said having any part of a gun on you was illegal. Does a rifle scope count as the same?

Why would you like to have rifle scope when you do not own a gun itself? And I guess if they find out that you have scope they would automatically think that you have res of the gun hidden somewhere.

I would recommend checking your local laws, and be especially careful if you are living on a college campus.

From what i know, any person who knowingly buys, sells, receives, conceals, or has in his possession a sniperscope shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000) or by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than one year, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
