Title: Faulty wallet Post by: Stephen123 on May 23, 2012, 02:05:00 AM Bitcoins I purchased are not being accepted by my wallet. If I take copy the address that the coins were sent to, then trash the faulty wallet, and reinstall a new download, can I manually input the old address to lodge the coins?

Otherwise why not get a new address and try the transaction again? Title: Re: Faulty wallet Post by: casascius on May 23, 2012, 02:04:01 PM Bitcoins I purchased are not being accepted by my wallet. No, never trash a wallet that might contain coins. If you do, the coins are gone forever. Inputting the old address into a new wallet will not save them. |
