Title: I need help mining with my GPU Post by: MindUnbound on May 23, 2012, 06:31:01 AM Hello, i am trying to mine some bitcoin on my laptop for fun and i am having some trouble getting started. My laptop has an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 Graphics Card and i am using GuiMiner, but my GPU won't show up when i try to select a device in the miner. I have updated all the drivers and downloaded GPU Caps Viewer which says my card supports OpenCL, but only if i select ATI Stream under platforms.

I solved it by downloading the 50miner client (google it) and then when you extract it/ open the exe, it tells you to install the drivers. In my case, there were 2, i installed the first one and it worked like a charm. now the all the clients detect my video card! hope this helped |
