Title: How to move money anonymously using Bitcoin
Post by: Rage on May 15, 2011, 01:42:55 AM
As someone who's really interested in privacy (it's part of my job!) I have been thinking about how to use Bitcoin completely anonymously. Over the last few days, I've put together a basic 'guide' that I finished today and would like the communities opinion on. I want to find errors, make the guide better, that sort of thing. Of course, if you find it useful, feel free to use it.

Here's the link.

It is like private notes for yourself. Short content of the article: use TOR, GPG, Thunderbird an Enigmail.

I want to ... make the guide better

In order to be more usefull to community
you should create wiki, describe settings of each program for each OS,
give comparision between your way and I2P way of mailing
(and describe weaknesses of other solutions like forum on freenet).

It was supposed to sound like that. Basically, I wanted to do a step by step and not get the reader bogged down in the details. It's a quick and dirty guide on how to get up and running now.

Points taken. Thanks for the feedback.  I might just register a wiki later tonight and transfer content to it so we can do group edits.

Thanks again!

Thanks for writing that up. It was an insightful read for me, a cryptology novice.

Would buying a prepaid credit card for a large sum, say $2000, be enough out-of-the ordinary to draw so much additional attention as to comprise the transaction secrecy? I havent used a prepaid card myself, but I suspect that people mostly put smaller (<$500) sums on them.

It provides strong encryption ... even the government can’t break

Genuine question: When you write do you ostracize 95% of the world's people on purpose or just by accident?

It sure is. But not the government. We all know which one that is.
