Title: The bigtimespaghetti speculation thread
Post by: bigtimespaghetti on October 25, 2014, 10:17:22 AM
Figured I do enough speculation that it'd be cool to keep a log!

I'll work out the format as I go along, hopefully provide some charts along the way. Let's start...

25 Oct 2014

Buying:

Silver
from here downwards current price around $17.20/oz and up to $20 per oz.

Downside target: $16 give or take a dime.

Bitcoin
Buying from $300-340 and down to $270 (if it dips that low again)

Imo gold looks pretty good too at these levels, but I'm not planning on buying any just yet.

I was contacted by someone that I follow respect, he also informs my opinion on trades. I wouldn't want him to think that I am just parroting his views. I have mentioned him in posts on other topics.

As far as ultimate downside to silver goes we probably agree. $12 and if that's broken it'll probably be a freakshow.

Check him out on youtube:

Thought I'd post a coin pick:

2015 Year of the Goat Perth Mint 1oz silver coin.

Will be picking up a roll or two- seems the limited mintage edit: 300,000 mintage and Perth Mint prestige could make this a good purchase. Premiums not too high either.

I'm currently collecting the Lunar series II as well.
I picked up a goat last week along with a year of the snake for a little more.

I really like the year of the snake. I missed out on buying some earlier last year when the premiums were much lower :)

where do you score your perth mints if you don't mind sharing?
ebay has good deals that pop up once in a while but some of the older coins in the series have crazy markup!! 8)

This is exactly why I like Perth mint. If you are in the US, then the big name stores are fine.

In Europe I only know two online stores that do good deals. I can post the addresses for EU in the OP if you like?

IMO if bitcoin price gets lower than the prevously low of 275 we can see even lower prices from 200 to 250, and then it might go up just in 2015 if that's true.

Agreed.

Silver hit my downside target. And BTC is grinding into my buy zone.

Hopefully btc will make a short term bottom with a nice bounce.

I think silver is a great buy at these prices for the long term.

Been busy lately, so not much in the way of an update.

Silver broke support, but from here on to $12 I think it's a great buy, I don't know if we get that low but long term these are great prices. I think a bottom is near (I don't pick bottoms, I don't pretend to be some kind of psychic).

Had a nice little bounce into $350 or so over the past week. I'm selling @ around $350-360 after buying around $330. Looking for higher prices to indicate a reversal of the downtrend.

Two coin picks, low premium and only 1 million of each minted:

I've linked a good source for Ag in the EU in my previous post with new coin picks. Sorry I didn't get round to this sooner. In terms of older ones, I think eBay is convenient, may on a site like bullionstacker? I've not used that one though.

Decided to do some updates via YouTube. Since I'm terrible at making forum posts!
