I always wonder when my US friends talks to me about the US as being a model of democracy, while I believe it is not, it is a broken system, when a bunch of guys holds more power than the rest of population in electing the president. when it comes to senator voting, it again a borken system where interest and lobying takes a huge part since campaign is related to money, and since there are no limite to compaign the one with the most cash will have the most out reach... also it's funny how high profile jobs are given to people that financed the compaign of the president even if they are technically speaking are don't the skills or competences to do it, such as diplomatic jobs and what's not ..... Yes there are some good parts, but as a whole I think the democratic model of the US is really broken.
