Maybe, maybe not. Pumped up dropboxes have been offered by a few users for a while, such as moredropbox and dropboxexpander. The only problem I have with such a service is that they use fake referrals to get the space from Dropbox, but it doesn't mean that they aren't delivering what they are selling. Use escrow if you are worried and don't care about how they were created.

I would guess that the 50GB DB/'s are obtained from Galaxy S3 vouchers or other Samsung tablet vouchers. You can't use referals to boast your account beyond 10-12 GB if I'm not wrong.

I have 36gb extra space, not sure 100% how... But 5gb from camera uploads, 1gb from Dropbox promotions and I guess around 31gb from referrals...

I think the data will be available to be downloaded a limited period after the 2 years. After that, you will have to pay a monthly fee if you want 50 GB. Anyway, the subscription for one year is $99 for 50 GB so you can save $198 for two years.

That's a nice feature to be disabled, but I personally use Dropbox especially for backing my files and keep them synced with other devices, so it doesn't matter too much. I think Dropbox wants to get more customers to use Share folders instead.
