Title: Collecting from faucet is too slow
Post by: guyol on November 19, 2014, 08:04:35 PM
I have spent the last few months collecting from faucets. Only have 0.05. It is too slow. How do you earn more bitcoin faster?

It's money, so the real question is "how do I get money?".

You can earn money from doing work, such as providing a service.
You can sell things for money. And if you find something to buy cheap and sell for a profit your in business!
You can trade one currency for another. That is, you can buy bitcoin.

I think home mining is dead and you will never get much from faucets or begging. Faucets were set up in the beginning so that new users could try out the system. They were never supposed to be a revenue source.

Without putting some fiat in yourself, there really isn't a faster way.  You have to invest some of your own if you want to make some.

Well, if you got only 0.05 in the last few months, you need to change faucets, the ones you are using aren't paying enough.

+ you'll need a few (active) referrals to get some bonus.
You should add other ways to get btc : signature campaigns, free cloud mining promos, do some tasks for BTC, etc..
In the overall you should be able to get 0.05 in less than a month

good luck

you can follow the sig. campaign on this forum, you just increase the level of your membership, and you are looking for a sig. campaign that was active at the moment, then you are required to register and post your specified amount, at the end of the month you will get a bitcoin based on the terms at the beginning of registration ...  ::)

Getting 0.05BTC just from faucet is actually pretty good for me. You can maybe try some gambling or cloudmining and get more from this 0.05.

This is the main thing to keep in mind.  I'm actually impressed you got .05 from faucets.  As others have pointed out, the way to get bitcoin is the same ways to get money, earn it or trade for it.

The signature campaigns are probably the best source of bitcoin for doing something you would do anyway if you are active on the forums.

Good Luck!

The fastest, most efficient, most convenient way to obtain bitcoins is to buy them.

You spent a few months collecting $20 worth of bitcoins. You could have obtained the same amount in an afternoon by going to localbitcoins and spending $20.

You can earn more than faucets by watching videos at bitcoinget.com. For the highest earning potential, give the tasks a shot.

I earn Bitcoin from signature ads, not much, just 0.1 per month. Sometimes I trade BTC/USD too when I feel Bitcoin is going to fall/rise.

I also active on Paidverts, it is a PTC which also use Bitcoin. No, I'm not clicking  those ads, my bot do all the work.

You are among the few newbies who have understood the faucet.

Bitcoin signature campaign is the way to go.

Use reddit, and post constructively and check out the BitTippers sub reddit.
You will make a lot more from tips, than you will ever make from faucets alone. <<Without ref's>>
I enjoy it so much, I am tipping back, and getting tips on my tips. ^Laugh^

*Do not beg
*Tip others
*Be patient
*Post constructively

Other options is posting on this forum, until you reach a higher rank, where you will start making more serious money. Lower ranked members here, get just above, what faucets give for free. ^Grin^

Join a signature campaign with faucets you will only earn dust... and it will take a lot of time unless you have a lot and i mean a ton of referrals...

Just keep being active and earn higher rank

Your right faucets are incredibly slow. Even earning enough to pay for a transaction fee is difficult  :(

Sooo: why bother? Try to sell something you are good at in the marketplace!

Some faucets have lower withdraw minimum.. (hint: check my sig).
There's a few ones with 5500 sats minimum payout and you can earn 550/h so it'll take 10h to get minimum payout.. (And you can win more than 550/h if you roll a lucky number)

Stop wasting your time on faucets. Get a job, sell a service, join a sig campaign, pick up pennies on the street, etc will all bring you more than $20 in a few months.

I earn from faucet for for nearly half a year. 0.05 bitcoin is only $20, not very good. Signature campaign is good. I cannot earn that now. I am only newbie. Will post more and more active. Thank you everyone.

Gambling is not me, I will loose all my money.

faucets are way too slow and waste of time. in order to earn bitcoin you have to sell something like a service.
check out the services section to get some ideas

What kind of work tho? the work you can do is freelance work like, design logos or code.. not much more reality. It's very limited. Other than that, the public is not geeky enough to care about bitcoin. I think most people try to rip you off. So what does one do about it if you want more bitcoin but you are tired of being able to only buy it with fiat? if you cant get legit paid with bitcoin it sort of defeats the purpose. we need serious jobs being paid in btc.

Well if you haven't got any specific skills then you're screwed for offering services, but you could just try sell things on the marketplace. Everyone has stuff lying around the house that they could get rid of so try that.

If you can get on one. There's a shortage of them at the moment and pretty much all the spots are filled.

0.05btc from only faucets is actually not bad. There is no shortcut in getting bitcoin. You have to earn them. If I were you, I would buy some bitcoin with fiat and hold them.

Work for your bitcoins. I am sure your time is more valuable than what the bitcoins you earned through faucets are worth.

True that most of the job is about designing and coding, but there are also some opportunities like translation, article writers, and customer supports.

Collecting from faucets is good to have a feel what is cryptocurrency.
Once you understand about crypto, it would be better to use other means to get bitcoin like buying them with fiat.

Trading in altcoins is as risky as gambling IMHO. If you are lucky, you can double your coins in a day. But if you are unlucky, you can lose most of your coins in a day.

Yep, this is the best way (because it free) to get first coins. After that to can start mine something or buy like all of us.

Then only way to profit from faucets is to either make a bot that would do everything or either play on casino faucet those are bigger than normal ones and you can claim them more frequently.

Yeah, but they usually just let people bet those BTC on their own site. You need to have a certain amount of BTC in order to be able to withdraw them as 'real' BTC to your own address. Still, those faucets of course are more fun.
You don't 'earn' BTC from a faucet. They are merely giving away some money for receiving your hit and maybe having you watch some ad.

Yup it is slow, because you are only getting a small fraction of the site owner's ad revenue. Try selling a product or a service to get bitcoin more effectively. If you really want to focus on faucets, try to attract others to sign up using your ref links.
