Title: Pasword forgotten, but I have the wallet's archive. Post by: btcKing1 on November 26, 2014, 02:47:31 PM Hi, recently I opened a wallet from its archive (the last time I used this wallet was 6 months ago) and I sent funds to it, everything OK till now.
But I didn't remember that for making a transfer I need the password, and the fact is that I don't remember it. What can I do? I also don't remember the seed but I think I have it in a paper. You could bruteforce it. If you remember enough about your password it might be possible. There are also services for that. But usually people remember most of the password or have a certain system behind it which helps to remember it. If you know enough about the password a script can be written to check for the remaining uncertainties. The more you know the higher the propability of a recovery.
