Title: Creating New Subs/Sections?
Post by: gogxmagog on November 28, 2014, 12:00:12 AM
I have a question. If I have an idea for a new topic sub-section (dont know if this is the right term...as example I would say "meta" is a "sub-section" of "Other") Actually 2 "sub-sections"

One would be an area for "Conspiracy Theory" because its all over the place in bitcointalk and I find it wildly off-topic MOST of the time, also it is largly disinformation at worst or simply a matter of personal belief at best. By definition, none of it is proven truth, thus the "theory" designation. It is highly annoying, creates huge arguments and ill will all around, how about giving it its own sub in the "Other" section?

Also I was talking with another user about the possability of having a "Creative" section. There are plenty of users in here with talent to share, it just doesn't fit neatly anywhere on btctalk, yet.

I put these suggestions here because I was unsure where to leave them, I hope they may be seen as useful and maybe implemented if the Mods deem it worthy.

Thanks  ;)

This would probably include a very large portion of the threads/posts in this forum.

There is somewhat of an argument to change the name of the forum to bitcoinconspiracytheorynsatalk.tinfoil/hat........maybe one of the domain spammers can register that one and sell it to the forum

wellllll...yeah, but...

these theories/imaginings/truths or whatever you want...they are often valid parts of a conversation, but when it is the entire conversation, like say...TBF is Illuminaty and child molestors... it just looks like a way to slander and foment hate under the guise of "uncovering secrets"

mainly I would just like to be able to go into these ranting insane threads and be all like..."Hey guys, please move this to the Conspiracy Sub where it belongs" would filter out a lot of the garbage.

The Creative Area is just because I've noticed users showing thier stuff and it would be nice if they had a showcase. Mods would have to have some rules limiting sales and spam etc. because Marketplace alreadyt is there for selling art, I'm just talking about sharing. Anyways, I just thought I'd put it out there.

One man's conspiracy theory is another man's conspiracy fact  :D. I'm not sure they need their own section and it's hard for mods to decide which theories should stay and which are classed as conspiracy and are to be moved. If a post is off topic or completely ridiculous or trollbait it will likely be moved to off-topic anyway.

Also I was talking with another user about the possability of having a "Creative" section. There are plenty of users in here with talent to share, it just doesn't fit neatly anywhere on btctalk, yet.

Again, these threads would go in off-topic. Don't think there would be enough demand for a separate Creative sub.
