Title: Getting lost in Proof of XXX Post by: JackH on November 30, 2014, 10:31:46 PM So we have Proof of Work and Proof of Stake, but I read about a number of other proofs out there. Just cant find them and was hoping someone would have a list to more proofs or a comparison review somewhere of different proofs. I want to dig into the subject a bit more and see what I can possibly think of from that.

Though I am not sure what it proves !!! Proof of work: resource = work = energy Proof of stake: resource = coin * days = you keep your coins but the number of days is reset. Proof of burn: resource = coins. You are spending your coins. The last case is most used in the first distribution of an altcoin. You burn your bitcoin and in exchange you receive altcoins.
