Bitcointalk mobile app!should we have it ?


what you thing guys should we have an app in google play store about bitcointalk so that we can post
from are phone really fast ? what you think guys?

Yeah, we do need one. I remembered that there is a app in google play store but with a bad experience.

there is a lot of things they can make...also there is a lot of people on this forum that are intrested about it

and some people that are willing to make it :) hope someone makes it soon!

I don't know, I never downloaded it before...I use the Chrome Browser on my phone to browse on Bitcointalk and don't need such an app.

We also need a iOS version! App for iOS a always bring the best experience.

I hope the new forum software brings an addon for Tapatalk so that I can use it on my iPad ;)

That's quite right...you have to trust the app. I think it's no scam / security issue, but I'm just using Chrome on my phone for surfing on Bitcointalk.

ONLY IF theymos or a mod makes the app. Bitcointalk accounts can be sold, so if someone who is not trusted makes an app and gets login details of people who use the app, that would be bad.

They will never create an app... It's a big potential security risk!

Yeah , maybe it is better to use the web versione withi a normal browser .

I actually use the app on a regular basis.  My BTCtalk information is not the same as anything else I use so the risk is minimal. 

I would rather an official app though.  I got busted by a mod for posting from the app because it leaves a signature advertisement.  I didn't know it was not okay so I now use it as 'read only'.

It also crashes a lot.  I think that there is likely a security risk but I don't haphazardly use my smartphone.  Nor is my phone or information on it associated in any way with my wallets.  So yeah, cool resource, wish there was an official app and be careful using it if you decide to.

And don't post from it!  Mods will delete if they see it.  I felt bad when it happened...

Is there no option to disable it? Seems you should take it up with the dev, and tell him we don't allow signature content outside the signature area, which is going to cause issues with his userbase.

And wrt mobile apps.

Now that you mention it, I think I found the 'advertised from' checkbox.  If that is indeed the case, and I need another post to verify since the search option is disabled and I can't access this thread without a bump, then the app became a bit cooler.  It wasn't an obvious selection though when considering signature content.  Perhaps I am slow...

If an official app is forthcoming, I would love that. Aside from some basic issues(search is basic and necessary, in my opinion, when trying to find threads already responded to; and a few other annoyances) this app keeps me informed when I am away from from my computer...

So please tell me there is another app coming!!


Edit - Tested on another thread and the disable works (Will delete them in the morning because they aren't contextual to the thread).  Egg on my face.  That said, the app does crash often and search is disabled.  So it's cool but could use improvement.

Im new here on forum, i we need this for chat and for easy access to forum and new topic announcement and stuff.

Think that this project need to be open source and all to get involved in this.

I use a phone with a 4-inch screen, and browsing this forum isn't that bad at all. I feel that making a mobile app just for the forums would be unnecessary and just pose more security risks.
