Title: What do you use to track your Bitcoins and investments?
Post by: area on June 18, 2012, 02:13:56 PM
I've started this topic inspired by a post over on Reddit (http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/v1fdl/software_preferably_freeasinfsfreligion_to_track/), where essentially a user was asking for recommendations for accounting software that supported Bitcoins.

I use a Google Doc spreadsheet to keep things straight, but are there any better / more advanced solutions that users here take advantage of?

I use a spreadsheet as well, that takes care of the calculations. I suppose more advanced methods do exist... Anyone else?

I really don't think there is anything more advanced than a spreadsheet out there. I would have guessed, if there was, that it would be well known on this forum, but i haven't seen anything like it around.

I contacted Intuit (Creator of QuickBooks)  about a year ago asking them to support Bitcoin in their software.
They told me that there was not a demand for it at the time.

If more of us ask now,  perhaps they will consider it.

I've no idea if these work well for Bitcoin but they do claim to be multi-currency.

Kashoo. Freemium, or $10/month. Haven't used it yet though.

Also, what might work, Aqilla:

And from that Reddit post, saw mentioned:

Infinity PFM (Personal Finance Manager) can read transactions from the Bitcoin.org client:
