Title: Bitcoin markets integration with Excel
Post by: dextryn on June 20, 2012, 07:55:55 PM
So this may be a very simple question to some but I'm a little lost at the moment.  I'm just trying to make an excel sheet where certain cells pull the actual exchange rates in real time so I can have all the information at my fingertips.  Is this sort of thing possible?  Would Google docs work better?

Google docs would be the better

position active on empty cell
Data -> Get External Data From Web -> Address http://bitcoincharts.com/ -> Go (click No if the Script Error popup appears) -> scroll down and click yellow boxed black pointer on Market table -> Import -> Existing worksheet -> OK

Since bitcoincharts is lagging badly;

position active on empty cell
Data -> Get External Data From Web -> Address https://www.bitstamp.net/ -> Go (click Yes if Security Warning popup appears; click No if the Script Error popup appears) -> click yellow boxed black pointer -> Import -> Existing worksheet -> OK
