I mean no offense to old ladies.  But THIS IS THE PERSON who BFL has doing quality control?!!?!?!?!?  That explains why GigaVPS mini-rig died in one freaking day LOL  --

But seriously.  How can you not question the talent\skill level of an 80 year old woman?  THIS is the person who is in charge of making sure your asic\fpga device is working.

BFL is looking worse by the day.

Ageism?!  lmfaooooo that is a new one to me.

And not trolling (not intending to anyways).  I am serious.  If I am investing thousands of dollars in hardware, I DAMN SURE do not want Father Times daughter working on it.

You have nothing better to do than sit in your basement and throw a hissy fit?

Go take your pills and stop rampaging all over the forum. I'm sure it's hitting you hard in the wallet, because you are making massive loans at insane percentage rates, but that's your problem not ours.

David_Benz you are a moron and an idiot, if the person knows what they are doing then it doesn't matter how old they are.
The failure was Thermaltake power supply and not the boards.

Reading comprehension much? I already know that about you, and I said nothing of whose basement.

Face it - you are an ADHD asshole with nothing better to do than to rack up huge debt and act like a bitch on some forum.

And since you admitted to being a sock of someone who was presumably banned, I'm going to go out on a nice long limb and start making a few guesses. The only other forum user that I know of who acts so entirely hyperactive and assholish would be the scammer who went by the nick newdude.

Sure, I might be wrong, but hey! nothing like a little smear campaign to make things start sparkin', amirite?

I don't really care about any 'nerd' label, its more that you were using it to taunt.
Also, I saw that as least significant so put it last. You avoided the other two points, and proceeded to attempt to insult me instead of proving me wrong because you knew that you couldn't beat them.
I am done with this thread, I don't want to get involved. The admins wll be here soon.

Mr. Benz, ualrightbro?

I know you're just trolling but why? Something set you off or u just high and/or bored?

btw; These new (modular) units feature high quality 105°C / 221℉ Japanese made solid state capacitors, a Full Bridge & LLC resonance and Interleaved PFC circuit design that ensures extreme stability and high efficiency, high current PCI-Express connectors, a 140mm fan that will operate 15 to 30 seconds after shutdown to prolong the life of the internal components, and an S.P.T. indicator that displays the Standby mode, the Power good signal, and the temperature of the unit.

Thats in reference to the PSU BFL has in the mini-rigs. It's actually quite the nice PSU.

And friggin raggin' on Ninja Queen? Mannn, that lady has pick and placed more components than we have hairs on our heads. ;p

Wow, I don't know where to start with this one, since you clearly lack any understanding of how these rigs work.

First of all, this woman is testing FPGA boards. Since the vast majority of those boards worked just fine, I'd say she's done her job fairly successfully. Even entire QA teams fail to spot every single dud product.

Secondly, the issue with Giga's rig was with the PSU, which should have been tested by Thermaltake (who, by the way, do have an entire QA team).

Hereforth, we can deduce that BFL's QA tester has done her job better in this instance than Thermaltake's (presumably young male) QA tester.

To be fair, we never got any independent test on Giga's minirig. We rely completely on the BFL's statement. Heck we dont even know any details of the failure. Ofcourse if i'm pointing this out, ppl will think i'm wearing a tinfoil hat.

So you should take your own advice and dont make any conclusion then.

I've been tearing apart and repairing computers and electronics for 15 years and I've never once fried anything due to static. I've tried intentionally to fry things with static, to no avail. My brother did fry his ethernet port on his laptop due to static, but that's not exactly a situation you'd expect to use a wrist band anyway.

IMO you have been lucky, or probably you are situated in a high humidity region. It's akin to not wearing seat belts and claiming one has been accident free.

This is true, but why would BFL lie about it? It's not like the story would be any worse if one of the 72 FPGAs they sold him was faulty. No electronic component can be guaranteed fault-free.

After tearing apart and working on hundreds of customer's computers over the years without an anti-static band, and never frying anything, I finally zapped something! I  touched the outside of a 3.5" HD in one of our work computers while it was still running, and it died. Good thing it was one of ours, and not a customers... :0

Depends on the room and the Relative humidity..... I remember having to spray water on the floor in our old computer room... people would drag their feet in and touch the keyhole.... Pow.. goes the PC :P actually most times it would just restart.... on a few occassions the PC would not start again.

Like I said previously, it is odd that benz asked for the ban hammer.

Either
1)HE has some power to take out bitcointalk.org
2)He has unpaid loan's, banning would result in by screwing over the lenders
3)His account has been taken over by a twit

Once upon a time, David_Benz (a.k.a. I_Sell_Bitcoins) sold me my very first bitcoin on this forum with paypal. But even after that, I was very suspicious of his long term intentions. Changing his handle and his sudden donor status was a big red flag to me. This behaviour absolutely does not surprise me.

I believe I remember pm'ing Matthew N.W. about him, because he shared a similar sentiment at one point.

I hope his account was hacked so that this is not really him, and that I regret posting this comment.

BFL is looking worse by the day.

My issues with BFL aside, You see an 80 year old lady, I see a person with 80 years experience Her mind is quite possibly sharper now than yours will ever be.

This, I used to work in a laptop repair facility (not one of those shady fly-by-night operations btw).

Every week we had thousands of units come in for us to repair and the QA ladies were all grandmothers and I could not have been more impressed with their performance. I was constantly getting units back that I had repaired that had other "issues" (cracked hinges, broken speakers, etc etc) with them that I had not noticed during my own inspection and I count myself a pretty observant individual.

ESD doesn't have to be felt to occur and cause damage, surprisingly humans aren't a very sensitive discharge detection device.

Also, old ladies in assembly positions have experience and good attention to detail (as long as they have the proper tools to correct for any vision problems). This makes them well suited for frontline QA roles.

You have nothing better to do than sit in your basement and throw a hissy fit?

Go take your pills and stop rampaging all over the forum. I'm sure it's hitting you hard in the wallet, because you are making massive loans at insane percentage rates, but that's your problem not ours.

Unlike you, I am a home owner.  I do not live in my mothers basement.

Keep in mind as long as you need to pay property taxes you rent that house from the city or state that collects it.  Also at any time via the EPA can call your house a wet land and fine you millions with no legal recourse or you have your land purchased from you at the assessed value via emanate domain.

1 BTC says you will deny that you no longer live in the land of the free until a jack boot is on your neck.

-
"The facts tell nothing to him. Even if I shower him with information, with authentic proof, with documents, with pictures. Even if I take him, by force, to the Soviet Union [now America] and show him concentration camp, he will refuse to believe it until he is going to receive a kick in his fat bottom. When the military boot is on his neck, then he will understand. But not before that. That is the tragedy of this situation of demoralization."

Would the mods mind moving this thread somewhere else...  or changing it's title.  Discussion of some random persons fraud in a thread about our company might be misleading to people who don't take the time to sort through all the details.

Thx

Why ? Title is neutral and reading OP = fail at first look.  I don't think it's going to affect BFL reputation,   Just let it die.
