You could prepay, however, but that still wouldn't solve things, since most DoSs are caused by sheer amounts of data, and not the HTTP requests themselves. There's nothing to stop DoS attacks yet. DDoS'ers probably attack to the miners. Let's say; those miner pools stratum servers etc will be DDos'ed this time and blocks can't be found...
