Title: reverse payment. Post by: Ejarwan on January 16, 2015, 07:58:38 AM I have 2 wallets, 1 blockchain and 1 using multibit
I didn't want to keep my money on a web-based btc wallet, so transferred the cash from blockchain to multibit. it's been a day and it's unconfirmed. I wanna reverse it Title: Re: reverse payment. I wanna reverse it Since you created the tx in your blockchain.info wallet, it should be reversed when the tx is not confirmed for a few days and is dropped from the memorypool. You should include a standard tx fee in the future to prevent this from happening again. Title: Re: reverse payment. And no worry, your bitcoin is safe and won't be lost with the unconfirmed transaction. Title: Re: reverse payment. Well you could export your private key from your blockchain.info wallet and import it in your multibit wallet, if you really want to do that. Go to the "Import / Export" tab on your blockchain.info wallet page to get your private key, and import it to your multibit wallet following https://multibit.org/v0.5/help_importASingleKey.html The process may be a little bit hard if you are not familiar with it, and that's why I suggested you to wait in the beginning. :) Title: Re: reverse payment. If a transaction is unconfirmed, you can create another transaction that spends the same piece of bitcoin and hope the new transaction will get confirmed instead. But if a transaction has a few conformations, it is safe to say it is almost impossible to reverse it, unless there is a hard fork or the sender has majority of network hashrate. EDIT : I just read and seems like they won't really help in the following things
if nothing happens for long time then the only thing you can do is to try export private keys and import them to your multibit wallet or other wallet you have . Title: Re: reverse payment. From my personal experience, the unconfirmed transaction will be gone completely (you can't see the transaction in the block explorer or your wallet page) in a few days, and everything will just go back to the exact situation before the transaction happens. You don't need to contact the support, but it will be done automatically. Title: Re: reverse payment.
