Title: BTC holders are like that story of the boiling frog
Post by: thms on January 18, 2015, 04:40:07 PM
The boiling frog story is a widespread anecdote describing a frog slowly being boiled alive. The premise is that if a frog is placed in boiling water, it will jump out, but if it is placed in cold water that is slowly heated, it will not perceive the danger and will be cooked to death.

They will hold till BTC slowly go down to $0?

Yes... so when you gonna leave here and never come back? I mean, if BTC is going to fail and you know this, why not use your time for other ventures?

Because with all the cultists around, shorting BTC is the most profitable thing ever?

That would sound legit if that's your reason for trading.
To make it a reason to flood troll the forum... meh, it doesn't do so well to defend that position...

Being softhearted, I once felt guilty about profiting from the stupidity of others, so there was a time when I tried to educate the financially illiterate of these fine fora.
Imagine my surprise when, instead of blubbering thanks, my generosity was met with viciousness and scorn.  It was as if a child I've stopped from eating roadkill responded by biting my hand in its rabies-addled rage. <==just like that, it was.

TL;DR:  Taking money from illiterate lunatics can be hard on a man of high mores.  I try to atone for what I do by being honest with the unfortunates about what I'm doing & why their wacky Bitcoin antics will lend you them in a cardboard box behind the dumpster.

The boiling frog story is fake, if you try, you will know, the frog will jump out by himself.
bitcoin is so.

There are holders who will hold come no matter what.
Only time will tell if they would be rewarded for their perseverance.

Well, let's see.  Clicked on my nick=>profile=>recent posts=>first page.
Hmm.  Let's see "WHAT THE FUCK [I am]":

--Called NeoBee a scam. Is scam, Danny took off with everyone's money.  Check.
--Called VCM/Active Mining scam.  Is scam, Ken Slaughter turned out to be exactly as I described him.  Check.
--Called Leancy LTD a scam. Is scam.  Check.
--Pointed out that running ponzi ads on bitcointalk creates bad PR for Bitcoin.  Check.

That's all from just my first 20 posts.
To answer your question in the most direct way possible, I'm the guy who is always right and you rage against--even after you're broke and I've been proven correct.
Now, what the fuck have YOU done?
