Anyone selling BitCoins for GBP, EUR, or PLN ?

Intersango appear to be changing banks ( again! ) and have blocked outgoing payments for a few weeks. That is good news for you because a lot of sellers have dropped out pushing the prices way up. If you want to sell your bitcoins for GBP, EUR, or PLN Intersango you will get a better price than anywhere else because of this.

The downside is you have to wait until July 26th-30th to get your transfer out. If you are not in a hurry you will get a better rate on Intersango.


Full disclosure - I have nothing to do with Intersango except as a customer. I want to buy BitCoins on Intersango as it's the only EUR exchange I can easily get money into. The rate is particularly bad for me right now since a lot of sellers dropped out.

Try Bitcoin-Central, shoudn't be much harder to get money in there :)

I really would, but the market depth is lower than Intersango even after a large number of their sellers dropped out.

Intersango prices have always been a bit more than Gox, in fact I think the situation is a bit better than it used to be.

I've never withdrawn money from there but the support page only says "UK/SEPA/SWIFT/Polish withdrawals will not be processed July 26th-30th", are you sure you cannot withdraw before then?

Actually it looks like you are right. Maybe lots of people made the same mistake as me as there is a distinct lack of sellers on there.

Someone who can change EUR to USD cheaply could make money by buying on mtgox and selling on Intersango. I can get very cheap exchange rates if only I had more money to transfer.

The problem with the lack of sellers might be the involvement of Intersango and Bitcoin Consultancy due to the last Bitcoinica major MTgox failure.

Is there a link or some other way this was communicated to you?
