Mystery is a game that operates directly on top of the blockchain utilizing it to create unique coins through the POS cycle that carry semi-randomized attributes giving many coins their own value inherent to the attributes applied, rarity, and capabilities in the game.

The coins that are currently being produced in the mining phase are non attributed, these coins are called “Elohim.” Their purpose in the game is to produce characters from the 5 character classes.

Q: How does the pos stage work?

A: In short, we will accomplish this by forking in a randomized attribute Algo the POS phase that will apply unique attributes to each coin. Each coin that is mined in the POW phase is a non marked coin created for the purpose of spawning champions in the game these are called “The essence of Elohim.”

Each coin that is minted during the mining phase is a single entity, an Elohim. The Elohim stakes at 1.618% the golden ratio. The coins that are produced by the staking Elohim are created with specific attributes that make up their character for play in the game.

I believe that was just a weird "project" by its dev to teach us a lesson about shitcoins. The mystery of that first mystery coin in that case was a not-too-well-hidden exploitation in the coin's code. It's abandoned and never reached an exchange to my knowledge.

Crap, I missed the early blocks on this one, but if they were slow maybe it's better that I did. Will monitor nethash and get in later.

Poloniex is almost impossible for new coins though and Bittrex slowed down a bit with adding new coins.

Idk where you can rent that amount of hash (70-80GH/s) since on nicehash the max I could get was around 20.

It is a private farm using their own pool.
One of the guys that created the bitbay ico has upwards of 50ghs at his disposal that I know of.


Putting 100ghs on this for 24hrs is roughly 15-25btc worth of hash.
Someone's betting big on this being a success.

Misunderstood your last comment, thought you point out that someone rents huge hash mines for 1-2 blocks and stops.

If the chinese dudes from bitbay are mining this that would mean they have some form of knowledge on the coin, but the huge hashes weren't there for longer periods. The 200 GH/s was there maybe 2x for 30 minutes or so.

Anyway its 160 GH/s again the moment im writing this.

What they are doing is diff jacking.
Except with this coin it doesn't seem to be working.
Soon as they increase the hash, the diff increases with it.
Usually they get 5-10 easy blocks before the diff ramps up to match the hash rate added to the network.

dunno if this was intentional, meant to be funny, or a mistake... but obviously wrong and def hurts your chances of getting it on an exchange... i suggest you work with some of the standard code reviewers on here and get a review.

I agree on the review part, but ocminer tends to add coins only after he reviewd them.

Also you are atm missing out a coin with potential huge volume, it spiked to 230 GH/s several times and even after a huge block reward cut it has really high hash.

Duno if you have any contacts there, but.... try BTER.

Wallet problem as reported by Bittrex was fixed. There will be approx 3 days of POS stake 1.618 which will cause 2% inflation of all coins (should still be under target). At block 5,000 the POS rate will switch to the proper 16.18% staking interest per year.


Please update your wallets and tell your pools to update before block 5,000!! We have about 3,000 more to go at 1.5 mins each.

Here is my theory on why anyone should buy in who was trying to make a decision:

During the POW we have seen huge hash spikes on several occasions. At the start (first 1000 reward) blocks we had 1000-1500 diff and at the second round of high reward blocks we have seen the hashrate go up to the 250 GH/s range. From this number the private pool had almost 200 GH/s.
Even after the block rewards went down heavily we still saw 70 GH/s from the "private" miners.

We have had several days without any proper information except the 1-2 sentences at the end of the ANN which were written there during the last few days.

Usually miners would just dump their coins and go to the next if they don't get a continious influx of hype and info. I am 100% sure those big miners never sold a single coin so far since the volume was low and only smaller sell and buys happened.

The miners have either insider knowledge that huge features are going to get introduced or simply like the coin and the style it was launched. As long as they have trust, I have a feeling the value can multiply in matter of minutes.

I sold off only 30% of my holdings to make a ROI on mining and I'm waiting for the features, not much till' the POW is over.

Some people may only think the next anon coin has a chance, but they fail to realize how a decentralized Magic the gathering RPG will catch on. We are a couple months into game development.

Especially in places like China and Japan etc

It's really the nature of a release like this, some may have their own idea of what they wanted the mystery to become. (another anon recycled clone) while others may now read and have the foresight to recognized how a simple application such as an RPG, Trading card game in which one can use their acquired cards to play against other players will be worth something. This entire market is full of gamblers.. why not give them cards?

A few elements of the game:


The application we are building currently supports the capability to battle an enemy player and make wagers on who will win.

The pos system randomizes what marked coins are produced depending on stake weight, the more coins held, the more staked coins received.

It utilizes the simplicity of the blockchain to run the game, verify a win or loss, and prevent counterfeit cards from being created. We don't expect everyone to love what this will become but there is indeed an audience for it.

I don't understand what the red lights are?  Its pretty normal for coins to get dumped by miners after proof of work is over.  Big miners don't hold alts they just move onto something else to mine.  If you weren't expecting that dump then you clearly haven't been around very long.

With only 2.8 million coins at 1800 satoshi there is still a ton of room to grow when miners are done exiting.

I still think there is some red lights about investing in mysterycoin but i trust the dev that told below they weren't enough prepared for that launch.
They tried to rent hash to mine their own coin and get some %(control) over it, but the hashrate was so high they couldn't do it.
still, it was a good and fair PoW phase.

1. innovative coin concept never seen before with great potential
2. huge hashrate during PoW.
3. organized fud (?) and coin dumped.
4. many many buy walls at low price getting the coins that is dumped.
5. still only 2.2millions coins (at the moment) for an insane low price of 1k satoshis

... no wonder why we see nasty behavior, since it's BCT

I'm pretty sure that Magic The Gathering has fans of all ages, it has been around for a LONG time.  I missed the mining phase so I can't attest to those issues but this seems like a pretty standard coin launch to me and a little early to FUD it to death.  

I don't know who the dev is, I didn't know about this coin until POW was over and I saw it on front page of bittrex.

I think what MysteryCoin is aiming to be used for is a great idea, a lot of other people worldwide in the crypto scene would think so too, all it needs is for everything to come into place plus commitment and it can be achieved & used as intended.

Its the only coin that has brought up this concept of building an rpg game out of / on top of the blockchain,  not counting stuff like huntercoin that is just basically human mining coins but has now turned into bots..

It is a feasible concept and it is worth the chance to risk some money on it, in the event that it does take off.
