Thanks for the photo. Looks like a great server room. Panduit fiberrunners? With that many empty racks I guess they will be hashing away with low temperatures.

Nice! 151.2 Giga Hash :o

Are you upgrading those 6 to SC mining rigs when they come out?

That is an amazing couch you got there.  :) I do hope that them all are online since a couple of days, if not we have to await mr mini-rig man effect on the difficulty.

I am actually surprised at how low the difficulty has been with all of these singles and mini-rigs getting shipped. I suppose people are shutting off their GPUs and selling them.

Why would he have paid anything different than what everyone else is paying?

Around $92k.
Then another $90k for SC upgrade, and he will have 6TH :)

Nice. I like the clean facility where it looks like you will run them.... and looks like it will maintain cool temps.

lol why? Plenty of datacenters that do colo will use APC because it's good stuff. Of course, private datacenters that don't need to worry about security or aesthetics can just go with a pile of Chatsworth racks that have no sides or doors and get better cooling and save more money. But customers that collocate like to have stuff the looks good even if it's more annoying to use. Then the VIPs on tours can be suitably impressed.

How fast internet connection do you need with this computing power?

Title: Re: More minirigs on the wild :)
Post by: pieppiep on August 01, 2012, 10:11:35 AM
6 rigs with 25 GHash/s each, total 150 GHash/s
Each 4 GHash/s gives a share each second (average) with share difficulty 1, so 150 / 4 = 37.5 shares/sec.
Each share is roughly 1kB so 37.5 kB/sec.
Or talking about network connection speed not in bytes but in bits/sec, 300 kb/sec.

So with 150Ghash he has 1% of the whole network, that is crazy :)

Gosh, I really hope that this hashing power goes to something like P2Pool, But P2Pool has issues with BFL's i hear.... Such a DAMN shame.

My car costs less than one of those mini rigs :(

lol you should see me driving with all 6 loaded to the car 4 were in the trunk and 2 were on the backseats, my dilemma was every second I loose is lost mining time but if I go faster I might do something stupid like a stray pothole etc and damage them :) , It was a stressful drive with a 90k trunk :)

Another indirect reason why more people should switch to EMC... Darn newbies flocking to the largest pool
Also, FML, Im never gonna get anything stronger than GPU's...
Those ASIC Jalapeno's are going to kill me

I'd really love to joing the Non GPU community, Thinking of all the energy im burning just to get coins...
On the bright side, The GPU's keep my rooms warm, I dont know if the higher effeicency stuff has a chance at doing that, So i would be back to paying for heating :\
Would love to just have One peice of FGPA/ASIC running, Just One so i know that i wont be running in negative efficency for $per kilowatt

Looks awesome.  Did you you intercept them from people earlier in cue by making a deal with Inaba?  Are you a "quality assurance" and burning in the hardware and  causing a slight shipping delay? Is there actually anything hardware in those pretty cases?  If this is all shady deals, than you are a slick one my friend and I am quite jealous.

Just being the skeptic that I am  ;D
