CoinFest is free to attend. :) We also have prizes and give aways, but you're supposed to save them for the noobs so they'll learn to love Bitcoin.The reason there's no CoinFest in East Asia is because nobody has stepped up to organize one. CoinFest is decentralized--it just has protocols, like Bitcoin, which you can choose (or not) to implement in your city. It's been going since 2013, but only spread to multiple cities in 2014, and didn't leave Canada until this year.We don't really "target" countries, though. CoinFest pops up wherever someone is willing to join us. If you want to see it in Asia, you could find a Bitcoin venue and host a CoinFest event, yourself--such is the open source movement |
