Hi!  Currently, I am running an Antminer S1 and an Antminer S3.  Unfortunately and quite obviously, the S1 is hardly profitable anymore, but power isn't as big of an issue for me as it is for others so I still have it going.  A mistake I made when I got my S3 was buying a cheap power supply.  It only runs the S3 at ~400GH/s underclocked, even though it's supposed to be 650 watts :/  So yeah, not a good buy on my part.  However, I'm thinking of retiring the S1 and selling it for what little money I can get online, and then overclocking the S3 using the S1's PSU.  Would this even be possible?  Would it damage the miner?  I don't see how it would, but better safe than sorry, especially on something like this.  So, is this possible?  Can I use these two PSUs together on the one S3?  Two PCI-e connectors from each PSU?  Thanks for your help :)

Yes, it should work, just make sure that both PSUs are powered on at the same time, and to power each individual board from the same PSU (the setup that you described should work just fine)

Sounds cool, thanks.  Another question: what is the maximum overclock frequency I can use without damaging it or anything, and what speed would I with that clock?  Just what you would expect from an average miner, since all of them are a bit different from each other. 

I have only experimented OC with the S1 so I'll let other S3 owners step in. Generally speaking, I've never had any miner damaged from OC, worst case scenario was (controlled) overheating or chips temporarily failing until power cycle.
