how far into this are you with regards to development and usage? ...

its an interesting concept - and we cant find too much info about it ... although we are reading up ( and will be testing ) the package when we get the chance ...

No this isn't FUD, they are legitimate questions.

Our Cash-Register is Windows-Based, you download it and operate it yourself - plug it into Bittrex, Poloniex and Cryptsy over API for fast exchange-functions/converting to desired crypto-currency or fiat-currency.

In Addition - you can connect your Windows-Based Cash-Register to your web-shop, using the web-end functionality, there is a simple webshop in the package zip-file you can use or study in addition to installation documentation - and we are working on integrating it into Prestashop for ourself, you can integrate it into whatever you want.

I.E. Integrate Crypto-Payment into arcade-machines, vending-machines, atm-machines etc, the web-end makes it possible to build custom remote front-ends for your customers, specialized for your own needs with your own design.

ok ... that answers a great deal but there is only the issue of having Windows to run it ...

do you have a massive Linux build or a source ( like git ) that we can build from? ...

we will test this Windows build under Linux using wine but we would much prefer to have a native Linux build directly from the source ...

It is written in C# dotNET and obfuscated, protected source.

We can add Bleutrade to the cash-register, but we would require some compensation, and bleutrade would also have to conform itself to the API-standard that Cryptsy, Poloniex and Bittrex now use. Hi Guys,

Just came over from the #iocoin thread.    Just want to say a HUGE thanks to Fyrstikken, for the awesome mention he gave the i/ocoin digital currency html5 wallet.

I have been a fan of yours for quite some time now, really like what you do in crypto, your You Tube videos are legendary!  You are always trying to push crypto forward and think of new ways to improve crypto with new ideas, just like this.

The idea is great, there needs to be a system, where a business can accept any forms of crypto currency then once they accept payment it will easily convert into bitcoin or cash.    Which if i am correct, this system does?   The only slight downside, is the interface, looks very complicated, in this day and age, people struggle to accept bitcoin and the payment apps in places for bitcoin are very streamlined. IE - someone finds item to buy, clicks pay with bitcoin and it automatically converts and they click send. 

I am sure there will be a much streamlined version of this in the future, that will make people want to try it, when it looks less daunting. 

Keep up the fantastic work team, this has a big potential and i am sure if all goes to plan people will start to try this new system.

I'm not sure if this was ever replied to, but has CXC Dev Team considered adding activation functionality using the exchange activation like Quatloo Trader?  This would be in addition the API activation?

Adding the ability to activate the register with 5,000 - 10,000 CXC on Bittrex would give additional value to the CXC cryptocurrency and once the price rises much higher, customers would most likely activate through CXC.BID

I don't see a downside to adding this, if there is one, I'd like to know

I don't see any buy support..

only those that have 'compliant' api's to the exchanges - which is fair ...

but that means officially - not ALL crypto can be accepted due to the lack of backend connectibility to ALL exchanges - unless ONE exchange has ALL the coins and plugs into the backend ...

All cryptocurrencies that are traded on the supported exchanges.  Of course... it takes time to integrate more exchanges and it's important to add exchanges with the highest security and track-record first. Unfortunately, half a dozen exchanges were hacked recently.  The industry is still so undergoing lots of growing pains.  

This project will take some time to identify the best niche markets and opportunities for this product. As for the CXC currency itself, I am still advocating for exchange activation in addition to cxc.bid API activation.

actually you would get more information regarding updates on the IRC channel where dev's are most active but i will relay current developments of which have been discussed and are being worked on


Working on adding another exchange API for the ability to trade between 4 exchanges thus allowing the ability to spread costs of selling coins (less dumping into single exchange buy orders and being able to spread the risk of lower volumed currencies to multiple exchanges)

also

prestashop integration https://www.prestashop.com/en/ . allowing the ability to create your very own online store which will allow the acceptance of 500+ different crypto currenices making it easier than it is at currently to accept and use the cash register.

its a great thing to have the multiple exchanges - as some coins are not on soem exchanges and are on others ... so this will be a fantastic addition ...

bleutrade was my question in the irc channel last week - and it all boils down to compatibility with the exchange api AND cost involved in the programming of it ...

we will look into prestashop over the coming week ... looks quite interesting - especially that its opensource also ...

No problem , yeah i remember you now on IRC .

Work is being done constantly , we have a fully functioning cash register as is which allows for people to become their own store and accept an array of crypto (500+) It is taking a little longer now because people do have full time jobs as well , which always become a hassle and a crutch to the speed of development but they are a requisite to being able to afford to live . Development is still on going and improvements will be a continuous thing throughout the life of this coin .

What i will try to do in the next few days when the dev's are active and ask them about is :

Like tokoyopotato says , The ability to have access to the cash register when holding a certain amount of coins, This will help in many different ways, give people the opportunity to invest in the coin while at the same time produce their own cash register integrated shop, Add volume to the coin and allow more people to get to play around with the cash register, meaning more stores or websites that can integrate the cash register and allow people to see what it is this does in more detail(seeing it work)

Also i will try to see if its possible to get a competition started with the chance to win a cash register key , will need to work it out in a way for the people who are most likely to use it and build something with the cash register in mind are entering the competition , so it doesn't just end up with some random person who will likely sell it on at a cheaper rate hoping to just quickly profit.

all that really does sound great ... I would think that such ideas would be the premise of a good beginning ...

there is the issue ( for us anyway - and for those in the opensource arena ) that windows NEEDS to be used with such an application ... something which is not a good thing ... purely because there is no flexibility in choice ...

granitecoins only exists on bleutrade ... granitecoin is the coin that was picked up a little while ago from falling and we have slowly started to bring it back up ... but as the api doesnt include bleutrade - we cant use granitecoin ... see the dilemma? ...

thats why it will be great news if more exchanges become available to the backend of cxc-reg ... it truly is 'the more - the merrier' scenario in this instance ...

Nothing dead.  MrMarkus works on PrestaShop plugin.  Over 200,000 stores started with PrestaShop and cxc has huge potential there. irc is active and devs phone is active. its a working product and web site is updating too. for preview go http://main.cxc.bid/

Active on twitter more often but not for CXC, makes you wonder who really is/was the dev and if he/she is still around. MrMarcus has been not active and believe that is the original dev. If that is the case, then he is probably busy with his real life job

CXC is alive and well you guys. It takes time for a new concept software to gain traction and publicity, above all in a realm like crypto, where the whole thing itself is very new to the world. I would not recommend perseverance to anyone if I did not believe, and in fact know, that good things are coming. I am aware of not less than 5 merchant sites in various stages of going up with the CXC terminal backing them up. I am personally working with three of them.

There is nothing like CXC on the market. It is already outstanding in what in can do, and improvements and further upgrades are in the works.

Beyond this, and I assure you events and plain facts will prove me right, CXC will have greater publicity and media exposure, on the near term and into the future. And believe me, I'll be back to say, "I told you so".

In the meantime, I encourage you to hold your investment, as well as trade actively and keep movement going in the CXC market. The low-volume warning that appeared on Bittrex is now invalid and past its expiration date. We exceeded, by far, the min req trade volume weekly average to have the flag taken off. I have asked Bittrex to follow thru now and remove the old flag, and expect they will do so promptly.

Stay strong, stay active, and look for opportunities to help get the CXC software out there in real world use.

EDIT: Bittrex has removed the outdated flag.

Yes, it is. The dev team is hard at work upgrading the software that stands behind the currency, marketing has continued opening channels to interested business partners and has laid out a framework for an affiliate sales program. The only weakness right now is the small size of the coin community, so that when it becomes passive, trading stops and Bittrex raises the flag. My suggestion is - just do some trading back and forth to keep the market going while we prepare v2.

Sounds good, might want to make an effort to stay engaged on the forum, it would help people finding this coin.  This will make some difference while the plans are being moved forward.

Another weakness at present is lack of multiple exchanges, I would suggest working toward adding a couple more just in case.

Nice to hear this about the dev team.
But! I don't like to play around with my investment only for the reason that bittrex gets profits/fees out of this activity. It's better to go on further exchanges, that more people see this coin and research it as an possible investment!
And every investor should do it's best, that people know about this coin and the idea behind it. Also the investors should advertise the software for shop owners. It is the best opportunity to profit from the own investment after some period of time. I would like to see that the software is used by many online shops!
And further, a list would be nice to know which shops work with the software. Maybe on the website of the cxc project? It would be also a advertising for the shops! And some words from the shop owners in the same place would be also a good idea.

I recommend CRYPTOPIA exchange! They provide a "strict NO delist policy"! It should be an advantage to bridge a long time. Listing it there is not very expensive at the moment. I assume around one BTC. It's much cheaper than on other exchanges! And it could be a lot cheaper done as the weekly vote round winner. Or for free if we get enough user votes for the weekly vote round.

By the way, it's my effort that the Quatloo coin is already listed on CRYPTOPIA...

The only disadvantage is, CRYPTOPIA provides only a Public API at the moment. A private API they plan to add later. But the web interface of the exchange is very comfortable and really good to handle, i am very happy with the service.

Also I would like to see CXC on different exchanges like poloniex, cryptsy, bter, c-cex and so on.

Somehow i think that every exchange which is accessed by the cash register software should add this coin for free and immediately! They doing a kind of advertising for the software and the coin itself. For those exchanges it could promise a way finally to raise trading volume of each coin they have listed.

No surprise here, it was poor executed, cheaply invested, and abandoned a long time ago, just like any other scam around here..

there really isnt anyway of picking up where any of these devs left off - as they have the sourcecode for the POS system that plugs in ...

but for a good dev - it wouldnt be difficult to redesign ...

Where at ? I ain't going to download/install another wallet for a useless coin.. and since it ain't traded anywhere there is no way for the new cash registers to buy cxc off the market..

doesnt hurt to download the wallet - transfer the funds - then uninstall the wallet and keep the .dat file ... its a small file ...

IF - and i mean IF - 'they' decide to resurrect this coin - you have the coins ...

if they dont - then you have a small file that is stored away for a while ...

dont forget - there are MANY that did the same thing with bitcoin - throwing away hard drives with mined wallet.dat files in them ...

not saying cxc will be anything like btc - but a small file tucked away in your backups ( assuming you DO backup ) - is not a big deal ...

is up to you of course ... :) ...

there IS interst online - and offline - for the software ...

BUT when you charge for the system ( software ) AND have it closed source as well - then you are asking people to pay for a product that they can NOT test freely and can NOT use without a licensed key to run the software and plugin to the exchanges ...

apart from that - its wondows based ONLY ...

those of us that are interested in a 'real' pos system for crypto means that we should have the facility to run under linux also - or at least have a windows version that runs under wine ... though a linux naitve pos system for crypto would be MUCH better ...

not only that - the coin that is supposed to support all of this development is NOT being supported by the devs themselves ...

so its NOT that there is no interest from US for the sofware ... quite the contrary ... it seems more likely that there is no interest from the DEVS for the software ...

i really like what you started to do with the system - then you just disappeared - then you allwed the coin cxc to just drop off one of the largest exchanges ...

if that doesnt show your intention - nothing does ...

0 active connections! Is this finally dead?

The chain was moving well until about 1-2 weeks ago, but now it is stuck and it looks like no wallet is online.
Anybody here?

If I understand right, good idea was killed by worthless people, who collected people's money and delivered nothing but a closed source executable to sell and fill their pockets further. Maybe its not the whole story, but it looks like that.

If devs were not able to complete project or sell this, it should have been released as open-source, so investors can at least have something they paid for. However... the way it is: it is a scam. Fyrstikken was involved in this project and left it like this? Then he is a scammer in my book. Would suggest to stay away from anything he does in future.

Its surprising to see the website (http://www.cxc.bid/home/index.html) still online. The devs were too lazy to even to close it down.

Time to move on. Going to finally toss the wallet with my leftover CXC coins...

Anybody wants a donation of 7K CXC, just drop me a message in next 3-5 days before I dispose of it ;D

i offered to purchase the project a while back ... as it fit directly into what i was looking at doing at the time ...

but unfortunately - they just werent interested in doing anything but keeping it closed - and keeping it to themselves ...

so now we have been developing our own payment processor through cwi ( initially for granite ) - and will look at a number of pos systems available to 'plugin' to ...

i would still be interested in the project if they are willing to provide the source code - closed or not - but i havent heard a peep from them for a very long time ...

though i am only just back on this profile after a year of trying to get it back ;) ...
