Title: Any website that lets me check for reused r-values?
Post by: Amitabh S on February 20, 2015, 10:15:40 AM
With so many hacks recently, I wonder if some of them are related to reused r-values.
Is there a website where I can enter a "hacked address" and find out if any r-values were reused for that address?

I firmly believe the same. Probably, the use of multi-sig and implementation of disposable addresses may block this exploit.

its not R-values.. its third party hotwallets that are at fault..

if you give some stranger you have never seen face to face and is in his 20's living at home with his parents all of your funds. and he says the loss was due to the bitcoin protocol.. then you are dumb for still trusting what he says even after he lost your funds.

too many people are using the third party mentality of the fiat world. in a technology that is suppose to be first person.

This should be at the top of each page here. I just don't get it. We finally have money we can transact for ourselves without banks or middlemen, without rip-off financial instruments. So what happens? People show up here looking to "invest" in bitcoin and find some 17 year old kid to manage their money for them. They think they will double their money joining a ponzi or buying into some cloud mining scam they don't understand. They think there is some financial guru with a chart that shows the future. They just aren't getting it.
