Title: How many people lost in ponzi's
Post by: neoneros on February 21, 2015, 03:03:11 PM
I see a lot of ponzi schemes, advertising themselves as ponzi's, doubling your btc investments, but not quite and leaving a lot of investors empty handed when the desired profit is reached. Why do people still buy into these, even when the schemers are playing open card? Didn't we learn enough from the pinnochio fairytale, money does not grow on trees?

You might miss the boat and the chance you do with a ponzi is very high?

i remember when i was new and saw the first post about one these schemes i thought to myself that it is "too good to be true!" and as i was browsing through the comments on the post i realized that i am not that wrong.

Because if you know how to play ponzi's, they can actually be pretty good. Some people don't understand that people enjoy playing ponzi's. So everyone thats like "Boo ponzi fuck you scammmer, hahahahahha" doesnt really need to make that post to boost their post count. Just let the people that enjoy them play them, and the people that dont can leave it alone.

Not as much as people who have dice addictions or any other form of gambling, i have lost 0.15 on 2 different ponzi but was a cheap lesson to learn!

The one main thing look out for all the newbie paid shills bigging up the ponzi they are what suckered me in  >:(

Not till after i realised lol

I never deposited my bitcoin in any ponzi or hyip.
IMO people make a deposit in those sites mainly because they believe they are early investors and there will be enough latecomers.

Number of people who lost in ponzi = Total number of people who have heard about this scam - Sensible people - Lucky opportunists - Ponzi operators /millionaires :P

100% - 60% - 10% - 0.01% = 29.99%

There it is.

money doesnt grow on trees but indeed people never learn anyway, they took chance to double their investment although they know the risk, it is in human nature, it is called greed, can't deny that

but what i think is that we can invest in these ponzi scam site in early stages/ like when the site started its journey. like i invested in a ponzi site when it was in its starting stage and when i earned almost double the amount i invested then i left it, then this site went scam and many people lost their investment

what you say?

This is best strategy but we should tell others to not invest as we are taking others money being early investors. I lost once and since then I stay away from any kind of scheme even if it is ponzi or not because we dont know what is happening behind the scene. I did not lost much but was enough to have a lesson.

my friends was a ponzi (and HYIP) maniac, he often join newly built ponzi site and make a good profit from it
but he often loose too, because owner of ponzi site run too early
he told me very hard to leave this ponzi game, because he can get money easily from ponzi (and loose easily too)
win and make profit -> more greedy to get another money
loose and loss profit -> time to revenge! make profit from another ponzi
good things that he can leave this ponzi world now

if you want treat your brother quickly, apply a loan in nearest bank

This is why they continue to get new domains, make new sites and come back because they know people are greedy fools and they'll keep falling for those. As for me, I haven't ever lost money in any Ponzi.

Weeklyponzi is my first ponzi here, I started to play on week #1, sent out 4BTC (4 deposit 1BTC each) on day 2 and I only got back 2.6BTC. I lost 2 out of 4 deposits and then I stopped playing.

A lesson has been learned in a hard way

it's very bad that you lose just in two days, it's too early
so lesson learned, nobody knows when will new ponzi close (except ponzi operator)
invest in earlier stage and withdraw immediately scheme doesn't actually works

I never touched or spend any money in ponzis, because how the ponzi works is in a questionable thing, no one is properly answering it, some one says we do trading, some people says they have sixth sense so they can earn money from currency trading daily.  I seen some ponzi saying they will double your money in 24 hours, huh... is it possible? and do they think we all fools...

Most people don't care of the ponzi loss, unless they deposit a big amount , say more than 0.1 BTC.
But I am sure there are many people who actually end up losing money.

if payout is around 150% , and the average deposit amount is same, then roughly 50% lose their money.

By using this 'strategy' you only feed the scammer and help them scam and making life more easy for them. It is only a small investment to make you feel happy and smart, telling everybody about it so more people will try and more people will lose. Not pointing a finger, it is a survival game, but just a warning to those who are not 'fit' enough to be wary!

ponzi operators / owner and few users who joined inon early time
even that is very risky too, because some ponzi operators run immediately after get some cash

As long as you know it's a ponzi, then gambling is gambling.  You could make that same statement for gambling at large: it's stupid.  Some people search out high risk endeavors, knowing full well that they could get reamed in the end.  If you know it's a ponzi and you know what you're doing, you can have fun and make a little coin.

The best are ones that were delivered by MultiCryptos, before it turned out he was actually a scammer.

The first thing to know about investing is that you can lose money. It’s as simple as that. You could invest today and see your money drop tomorrow.

I have a great strategy for these ponzis.

Invest a small amount (an amount between 0.01BTC-0.001BTC).
If on a doubler, once it has doubled, reinvest the capital.
Repeat doing this, and, as long as you get your first payment, you are technically guarenteed to not lose any of your Bitcoins (though there are still some risks!).

I wouldn't touch Ponzis with your ten foot pole.

It amazes me that people try to make money doing these sort of scams, and I mean not the ones who are running them.  They're just stupid schemes that pander to the basest instincts in those who love to lose money.  And there are so many of those folks right here on this forum.  Don't do it.

So, where do you suggest we should invest?
Sorry for asking...
