Alt Convention is a new type of event in the Alternative Income, Finance and Tech space. It is unlike any convention you have ever been to before. In the simplest of terms, you could consider Alt Convention to be 4 conventions in one. Kind of like a big huge convention buffet where guests pick and choose the bits and pieces they wish to consume.

The event is produced in various venues spread throughout the city of Batumi, Adjara, Georgia. Nestled between the Caucasus Mountains and the Black Sea, Batumi offers a wealth of natural and cultural experiences. It is a perfect location for a fun, rewarding, and adventurous conference.
Exhibit Arena

Due to the geographic setting of this event, we plan to produce an exhibit arena where various alternative income, finance, and investment businesses can showcase their wares to tens of thousands of interested people. Everything from alt-currency exchanges, Forex, currency mining, freelance services, network marketing, internet marketing, franchise opportunities, and more will be on display.

Tens of thousands of people, ranging from regular Joe to high net-worth individuals are expected to attend. The general admission exhibit arena will be promoted for several months throughout Eastern Europe, Turkey, and the Middle East. Businesses wanting to get a foot in the door to this emerging market, or expand an already existing presence, are sure to find an overwhelming and receptive crowd.
High Impact Speakers

We are securing contracts with several high impact and many world-famous speakers. The event should feature over 60 speakers throughout the days and venues. In addition, many industry leading, innovative organizations will lead in-depth workshops guaranteed to educate, enlighten, and equip.

The exact list of speakers, along with a complete roster of topic agendas will be presented on the site well in advance of the conference. There will be several “threads” or “paths” attendees can choose from if they want to go from beginner to advanced levels in a certain topic.
Open Venue Concept

Attendees will be given a passport upon registration. There are three levels of convention passports. They are High Roller, Business Class, and Economy Class. Thirty days prior to the event, the agenda for each venue will be published on our site. The time and place for every speech, workshop, activity, etc. will be available long before people attend. In this way attendees are free to pick and choose the various presentations and activities they feel will provide the most benefit. Attendees are free to move from venue to venue as they wish.

Lunch will be available at all four venues. Attendees may purchase Lunch Passes in advance. They may use these lunch passes to dine at any of the four venues during lunch time. This way, they are not forced to leave a particular venue, where they happen to be attending a workshop or networking with someone, to return to their “home” venue for lunch.

Every evening there will be various dinner opportunities depending upon the level of passport an attendee holds. These evening functions can include meals, cocktails, entertainment, and various levels of networking. There will be extremely exclusive, high-impact VIP events every evening for our High Rollers.

We have a mission to attract around 3,000 conference participants to the conference itself. Included in this goal is the sub-goal of having 1,000 investors in the mix. In addition to the conference, we strive to attract 20,000 general admission attendees to the general admission speeches, workshops, and exhibit arena.

Would be nice if something like this was done for the UK always seems to be places way out of my reach. And the meetups in the UK always never seem to really be worth the trip as been to a number of the min the UK now and all that seems to happen in them is a little discussion on Bitcoin learning about it security and other areas and the basics.  Meetings the UK need to be more like you alt Convention that talks about different cryptos other than Bitcoin. Maybe you should add on to your list of altcoins Burstcoinhttps://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=731923.0 The only coin that is mined with your hard drive Proof of capacity.  Will be following it and looking forward to video feed if you guys have one or are going to upload after.

There will be topics that are not even crypto related, this convention is much more than just cryptocurrencies. There should be some streaming however that will be worked out later. I believe tickets are going on sale in around 2 weeks.

If you think that is big you would be floored if you knew what we are currently negotiating....Although early stages next month we may have an announcement regarding, well I can't really say, but it is very big, huge in fact. Pavel has a Ph.D. in information security and has worked as an engineer on public key infrastructures for the banking industry and government. In Tembusu Pavel is working on a technology that preserves privacy of users but makes infrastructure compliant with law. Pavel is passionate about educating people about cryptocurrencies – he created an academic course and already held it in 4 universities. I no longer see Andreas Antonopulos and Jon Matonis among the speakers. What's the matter?

With only a couple of days before Alt Convention I apologise for not having posted updates lately. Doesn't mean others couldn't have but obviously nobody did.

Firstly there was major changes to the event mainly due to the major sponsor claiming they had financial issues and could no longer underwrite the event. This was a major blow as they had been wanting fairly exclusive sponsorship and the money that was due to come from them was going to cover the remaining speaker costs. It should be noted that speakers have their costs split with an upfront payment and another payment due later. In some cases they were split into three payments. Unfortunately the up front payments are non refundable which means that money is lost.

This has been compounded by far less than anticipated ticket sales. This also meant money was tight when it should have been coming in.

Following the cancellation of several speakers since there was no money to cover their payments one of the representatives for three of the speakers demanded that the full payment of $80K be paid for speaker fees. This represented 100% of the fees had the speakers attended. Obviously this was not able to be given and since the speakers were not even going to speak was quite ludicrous to even try. The representatives threatened to cause issues for alt convention online. There are thoughts that the speakers knew nothing about this and those reps were just trying to pocket some cash. It should be noted that there had already been around $16K paid to them.

Other issues were technical. The Bitbillions site was having major server issues which took the best part of a month to finally get sorted out. Then about a week ago Alt Cnvention site came under a major DDOS attack. It is believed that the representatives of those speakers mentioned previously organised that. The Alt convention site was moved to the bizzabo platform since tickets are organised through there already.

Imagine this money is the exact same face value in every country on earth. So, you no longer have to convert currencies when you travel. And, you no longer have to convert currencies when you send payments abroad, or purchase things online from another country.

Imagine a man in Ukraine packs his bags, scans his money into his computer and heads to the airport. He flies to London and goes to the nearest Internet café. He prints out his money and begins shopping, eating in cafes, and living as if his money was exactly the same in London as in Ukraine.

Imagine you never needed a bank, credit, or debit card ever again.

Imagine your income, gifts, and payments could not be traced or controlled by any government or agency on earth.

Imagine no person, government, agency, or organization on earth could ever learn where you got your money or where you spent it. Imagine no government or organization on earth could ever learn what you used your money for.
