Title: Gridseed shorted Post by: Seba13xp on February 26, 2015, 04:33:11 PM Long story short my power plug got unplugged and the plug touched the heat sink and shorted the miner :'(. I was wondering if anyone also had this problem and, could tell me how did they fix it. I know that the miner is cheap and can be replaced but I would hate to see it thrown away if there is a fix for it.

Not enough power to power the motherboard from the PSU? Could just be a little trickle enough to power the fan, but I guess that's unlikely. You should try measuring the PSU with a meter to see if it's putting out what it's supposed to.Title: Re: Gridseed shorted Post by: sirslayer on March 01, 2015, 05:59:18 AM i reversed my connections and burnt out a few parts. but it still sees my usb connection. maybe the usb port or components around need to be changed??
